[Warning] New Account-Stealing Scam

This is just a brief post I thought I'd make, as two of my friends recently got hit by this scam without realizing it; their accounts compromised.

The spam is fairly easy to spot, if you're paying attention. I'm not going to post the actual link, but it was very close to "steamcomiuntiy.com" which is honestly one of the worst spoofs I've ever seen. Nonetheless, people have obviously fallen victim to this so I thought I'd give you all a shout out.

 

I've gotten these messages before and they're nothing new. I just never trust any links anyone sends me via Steam. I have my friends send links through Skype most of the time.

I've blocked about 600 of these guys adding me when I post trades on csgo lounge

Sometimes, there are people who just want to spread viruses.

 

Honestly. This is not new, this is not hard to spot, whoever falls for it... shame on you.
