That last bit is not entirely true, in my experience the tripwire has made its placement sound when approached, rather than just on the initial placement. (For example the T placing it would hear it immediately.) Once you are within a certain proximity you hear it, maybe my game just lags and does this, but that happens.

That has never happened to me, perhaps its just some sort of bug
