Servers are understaffed

Postponing mod applications was done as part of a more thorough process going behind the scenes to restructure and better plan our staffing efforts, especially now when summer is here and the population naturally grows by a lot. In just a few days you will already see some of the results from this action.
Yes, temporarily closing applications at this point in time may look like the most counter intuitive action ever. I'd think so as well if I was seeing this from the side. However, this was a necessary (and successful) step in the plan I mentioned to better utilize and spread our staffing efforts. Restructures require some flexibility in the team and its members, and temporarily reducing the numbers is crucial to make this work - forcefully moving people around when they are not able is a much bigger problem. Still, like I said, this is just a temporary act to hasten the process, as we don't have enough time to wait for it to happen naturally.

Give us a few more days and all will be clear. We're not ignoring or needlessly defending this decision as some of you claim. All we ask for is just a little bit more paitence. That is all.
