Rejected Return of the old Logo

We changed to the current one because at the time, we had added MC onto all of our game modes. Well, MC is gone. We're now only Gmod. Sure, you can argue that the current one is more modern, but there just isn't as much feel to it. Plus, it occupies less area meaning less space to click which would lead you to the home page, like so:



Whereas the old one occupied more space vertically.
You can always continue to use the current one in professional situations like the discord and News threads.

 

The Harpoon design is just

As a world we've grown past the "lool cool kids got spooky letters and in their logo " phase, let's not go back.

 

What spooky letters??? It's just a nicer looking logo since it has more going on than just a circle with text on it.

I like the current one as it allows us not to be exactly a GMOD community but have room for expansion in the future while still holding onto our roots.

 

nah anything the devs make for outside of gmod will be a failure (i wonder why), and since we are getting darkrp, it makes sense to just use the old logo

Our current logo has a dire lacking of spooky letters that imply that we're cool kids. I'm 100% for a change here.

 

How often do you think an icon would prevent someone from changing. It's not that hard to change back if it comes to something like that again

Our community is no longer called SeriousGMod, but SGM. We have no plans to return to the previous name or brand, as this was intended to be a permanent change regardless of Minecraft's success, nor with any other launches/changes in the future. We're simply SGM now, that's our brand and name - even with the unsuccessful fate of Minecraft.

(Yes, we have not yet fully completed our transition. Some areas still use SeriousGMod, like the domain and such. However, these will also come eventually)
