remove the increased punishment for repeated offense on rdm and leave

how is someone supposed to learn from their mistake, when their "mistake" is a pc crash, which is the cause of many rdm & leave bans

rdm & leave bans should be the same for each offense, and not build up

Because it teaches players not to break rules repeatedly. In your specific case you should have contacted the staff member online when your PC crashed.

 

cant really contact a staff member, when i have nothing to contact them with

PC crashes are not the "majority" of RDM and Leave bans lol

If your PC crashes after every time you RDM and get slain for it, well, that must just be a coincidence then :thinking:

Don't RDM if you have a shitty PC. Hell, don't RDM at all

You've RDMed and left 5 times within a 3 month period. You'd think you'd be able to learn to just NOT RDM. But no, blame it on the PC lol

 

wasnt within a 3 month period, it was all within about 5 months

I have 176 slays and I've served every single one of them.
Perhaps you should adopt a habit of telling a staff member when they issue a slay that your PC might crash.

 

Even this wouldn't guarantee you'd be unbanned. Otherwise, everyone would do it

im not arguing that rdm&leave shouldnt be a punishment, im arguing that the punishments are too harsh

 

Most mods/admins wait a few minutes before issuing an RDM & Leave ban for the reason being pcs do have their moments (happened to me once).

 

Sometimes you will just get unfairly RDM and Leave banned...

yes, but not everyone has an pc that can load up in a minute

it takes me about 4 minutes to load up my pc, not to mention taking time to fix the crash

 

Regardless, this won't be implemented for multiple reasons:

1. Most if not nearly all of RDM and Leave bans are not due to circumstances out of the player's control (e.g. computer crash), hence why bans stack, because most of the time, leaving is intentional
2. Statute of limitations gives players banned previously for an offense to avoid getting banned for a longer period if they behave
3. RDMing is still not allowed. We're not going to give you the benefit of the doubt when you've already broken the rules and/or have history of RDMing and leaving
4. Several ways to avoid getting banned for a computer crashing during a slay, if not appealing
5. You're literally only making this suggestion because you were global banned recently for your 5th offense of RDM and Leave

 

Also, I would say something in shout bx if this does occur.
