After spending somemore time back on Deathrun recently and being the renowned player model connoisseur that I am, I thought it would be appropriate to replace some of the current models that are either unused or just plain ugly. Hopefully a lot of models can be swapped out quite easily as they don't need hitbox tweaking and can be quality reduced reasonably quickly also. Another thread will follow with some suggestions to replace the current models. I will go through rank by rank with critique of each model and either colour it in Green - for keep Red - for remove Yellow - for indifferent Bronze Rank - Buzz - Not used, weirdly proportioned, large Cool Ranch - Old meme, not used. Crash Bandicoot - Large but matches a map, and is used reasonably often Eevee - One of the most popular models Pink Panther - Not used, unique model however Princess - Not used, howver is a lacking female model Ratchet - Detailed and fun model, unfortunately not used Simba - Popular and used Sora - Popular character and is humanoid Venom - Never seen used, unpopular character Silver Rank - Amerasau - Used and is a decent looking model Arbiter - Never used and is bulky Falcon - Reasonably popular and is a unique looking model Jinx - Popular and a female Luigi - unpopular, weirdly proportioned Mountain Dew - Old meme Octodad - Awesome model Sonic - Matches a map and is fitting for deathrun Umbreon - Popular Vaperon - Least popular of the animal models Gold Rank - Ahri - Popular even if large wings are annoying Artorias - Never seen used, rare humanoid Espeon - Popular Mario - large and awfully proportioned, also never used Nacho Cheese - Old meme, not used Power Armour - detailed and humanoid, rare usage Sanic - another old, unfunny meme that isn't used Spyro - reasonably popular and fits well Sylvannas - If i had gold i'd use this, probably DR's best model. ToonLink - Despite its annoying size, its very popular. Elite Rank - Deathstroke - On both servers, popular however Diablo - Despite its reasonable popularity, its bulky and large which isnt fun to play with DJ Sona - Popular and would likely be used more if Elite's came to DR Mercy - Despite being my queen, she used TFA's model base so her torso is stretched. Ultron - Has anyone even equipped this model? Death Models - I believe the current Death Model are great. However the current "Unded and Skeleton" Models would be better served as models for every play. More Deathmodels in general would be great & I may suggest some in the next post. Constructive criticism and thoughts from the community would be great as this is just my observations and opinions at the end of the day.
You forgot to mention that you have no real evidence people 'uses' or 'equips' these models. I've played around about 15 minutes on Deathrun (since I'M EU) and have seen both Sanic, Arbiter and Nacho Cheese. Haven't seen Mountain Dew.
Completely agree with all of these, playing deathrun a lot most of these aren't used, and if they are used they are usually very unpopular and only used by one or two people. There are some other great new models that could be added in, the pointshop needs some reworking.
Yeah I agree with most of them, I haven't seen people use the ones you put as unused very often, although there are the occasional usages but none that would really be worth keeping most of em in. If we could find good substitutes and add some more fresh models that'd be pretty snazzy.
I like that you're making an effort to help clean up DR and make it a better place. I agree with most of these, and also agree with what Boo said. Mercy is a very popular model, perhaps you could find a different one to use rather than the current, to fix the TFA issue? Other than that +1 <3
