Why can we only speak English on all the SGM servers and discord? Why can't i speak Russian to Russians on EU or German to Germans on Eu or Spanish to Spanish speaking people on all the servers?
You're allowed to speak other languages on the EU servers, just not allowed to do it on forums as forums are both hosted NA and are predominantly English Just makes life easier for everyone when it comes to posts/reports/whatever else
Because we are an English-dominant server. Our rules are written in English, and that's the language all of the staff team speak. Imagine calling the police in the US and you're screaming in Russian. EU servers are the exception. However, it should be noted that this is a privilege for EU players to not experience 400+ ping on US servers. You also wont get gagged for speaking a different language due to the large and multi-lingual area that the EU covers Prior to the EU servers being introduced, we were an English-only community.
We mostly handle this on a situation basis. If you had good reason to speak another language besides English we may allow it, but 9 times out of 10 we dont.
