pffffttttt, +1 @Mr. Disco 's . go classic or gtfo might i add: Spoiler: pure gold also, taytay's old country is pretty sweet
music to my ears man, i approve of this list and old country is country music how it was supposed to be, not industry-trashed modernized country. I think this country song came out around 2002, not that old, but it was written by a man with roots of old tradition.
speaking of "not industry-trashed modernized country", give Sturgill Simpson's music a shot. Metamodern Sounds in Country Music is a really great album, A Sailor's Guide to Earth explores sounds outside of country though it's still rooted in country and quite a good listen, and High Top Mountain is overlooked and his most straight-forward county album of the three
ur right, and taytay wasnt true country; still, her stuff '08-14 was a genre unto itself, well worth a listen. after '14: damned tragedy.
I recommend McCafferty, they're pretty edgy and little hardcore. Billie Eilish is dope. Regional at Best, which is an album by twenty one pilots. Is something you'll probably like. Cuco is my favorite artist currently, specifically the song "lover is a day." I have more but eh those are my favorites.
