some type of ingame music player maybe a client side one would be awsome
An opt-in dj system could definitely work on deathrun.
That's going to be very tricky to implement - and you already have pretty good solutions for that. I don't think there's a need to reinvent the wheel.
Just hop on Discord and use OpalBot's music functions. It's pretty much the same.
Yikes I guess he doesn't know of Spotify.
Listen to Spotify. I'm sure constant music streaming wouldn't be fun on a server anyway, and most players would instamute it.
I said a client side music player, one people would have a option too enable music for themselfves. You guys are saying alternatives Like I didn't know about.
Thanks hyper but that's not quite what I was looking 4.
ps. Cant even get the plug dj website 2 work.
My bad, didn't read post too well.. Still, though, a client side music player that sources its music frome where? Very few people still own physical or digital copies of music.
I've seen servers that had like optional ingame music players for yourself that used youtube URLS
This on top of the Steam Overlay feature. It's honestly very un-needed and won't bring players in.
(HOW ABOUT THAT LEVELING SYSTEM THOUGH?)
As for the music player, personally I dislike servers that have any type of music client and I instamute because id rather listen to my own music than whatever other people like.
That's the point Pixel. A client side music player would music you yourself would be able too hear not everyone. Ive seen it done on server with some mod that allowed too use YouTube urls Soundcloud Urls etc idk it was just a some cool shit
Yeah I mean, if it was just client side, why not just use your web browser? I don't see the point of a clientside-onlyoucanhearit thing in game when you can easily just do something else
I mean I do, do that. But you know what id rather not do the extra work.
I feel like it'd be more work, no? You'd have to type a command open the player and then go in your browser and find a youtube link to a song and paste it into the player to start it
