I was not prepared for this.

 

As a summary for anyone who is interested, @Derp Mason was asked to join Shadow's team by two members of his team and he accepted, leaving Senko's team without a jungler 5 days before the tournament. No offense to anyone who had signed up and was not picked, but 5 days is not enough time to get used to each other no matter what rank you are, especially when most of our team wasn't available except Friday and Saturday. So we had one of Senko's friends sign up who we had played with, we would all be used to the person and it would make the game more fun and easier to play. Players got upset that we had picked someone up with such a high rank from outside the community, but we really had no other choice as we didn't have any time.

Now, I don't think that asking a player from another team to switch espescially less than a week before the tournament is fair, however what happened happened.

In the end people went to Hello and were complaining and forced him to make a decision by threatening to leave the tournament, you know who you are and IMO you took the fun out of this tournament.

Anyway, Senko, Ixenbae, Precishunz and Myself have all resigned from the tournament, which is why it was delayed by a week. Have fun.

 

Regardless of me leaving days before the tournament or not, getting someone from outside of the community to play with you because you think everyone in the community isn't good enough for your team isn't really fair to the people that didn't get a chance to play. We didn't care about the rank, but Shadow and CD's team agreed that it wasn't fair to the people that signed up and wanted to play that they wouldn't get a chance to play when the tournament is supposed to be for fun and not about the money (which is just a reward for having fun). But I guess you guys would rather get some random high ranked player than give someone from the community a chance to participate.

 

Including a money prize is why these issues happen, FTR. Goes from a tournament "for fun" into "for the prize."
