So I have a little itty bitty problem. On my computer, I have an INVINCIBLE TROJAN. For those of you who don't know, This is a Trojan. I have tried: Emsisoft Emergency Kit, with safe reboot and networking (Thanks to @Dolph1n for the tips). I have tried about 7 or 8 different anti malware applications, none of which worked. It got to the point where I had this error. Yes, I tried the virus removal steps on this website as well. The Trojan File is calling itself "Trojan.Trafmous(A)", as well as Trojan.SmartServices or something along those lines. I also caught a Gen:Variant.Mikey, and two others like it which I seem to have eradicated, but the Trojan remains. More generally, it is the "svcvmx client" Trojan. If anyone has any ideas as to how I could get rid of it, please let me know. My last resort is to completely reformat my hard drive (i.e. erase it and redownload Windows, literally starting from scratch). I hope I don't have to do that, because it was a pain in the ass to download everything the first time, but if it has to come to that, I think I'll do it. Thanks a million.

What the hell were you downloading...? You should know to NEVER download anything from any website unless you know that you are 110% sure, that the website your visiting is completely safe and all downloads associated with it are safe. My advice, Malwarebytes. It's decent, and the free version may help you with your problem, but since this trojan of your is stopping security programs, it may not even run.

I assume Windows Defender doesn't work either?

  3. Yes. Malwarebytes is free and Legit. Make sure you download it on trusted websites.
also, I recommended download AdwCleaner from Malwarebytes. Its a program that removes Adware and etc. and Its free.

For those who are new to Malwarebytes, that program though gives you a free 30 Day Premium Trial.

If the problem stays or sticks there on your computer, I suggest a backup. Backup files [Your Important Files, Games, Movies, Projects and etc]
    or Backup and Restore.

If you wanna ask a problem from Computer Technician in your Windows System, It is very expensive to reboot and you should do the things that all caused of it, Use caution and goodluck.

    *Off-Topic* - For Windows 10 Users.
I almost broke my laptop because of solutions but hope for the best in Windows 10 is to rest your computer
"Win Snare" is the problem, and it does works.

I completely forgot about AdwCleaner. That's another great program to help get rid of these kind of things.

@WhyFi @TrayGreen078 I've tried both of those programs. I've gotten the same error: "The requested resource is in use". Also, I can't think of anything in the past week and a half that would have downloaded this kind of virus, unless you think an image or three from google might've done it.

I'm not sure on your skill level, but you can search "system restore" and it should come up in windows and show you any restore points you might have. If you've done that and you don't have any, I'd probably just wipe my pc.

My dad suggested completely reformatting the hard drive. I hope it doesn't come to that. Will a factory reset get rid of the virus or do I need to clean my hard drive as well.

I'd try the factory reset first. If it does work, you should be able to recover all your files. If the virus is still there after, you need to just format that shit

I can't actually walk you through the steps required to handle this because I'm a hardware guy, but at this point you probably have to deal with an anti-rootkit type cleaner, not just any of these typical virus scanners- something like Kaspersky's TDSSKiller or GMER or something (MalwareBytes is working on one but it's in heavy beta). The people/mods on those forums are usually pretty dedicated to helping you with the craft though.
