Dunno, It's pretty average in the UK from what I've seen. I'm getting my download upped to 100Mb/s for free not sure about the download being upped though.
edit: apparently Virgin Media works on a 10/1 ratio, still doesn't explain mine.

Okay I think we can break this tie by stating how much we pay for our Internet. I currently pay $37 a month, and that's with a $5 discount deal when we first signed up. Yes for my internet we pay $37 for less than a Mb/s of download speed! :shock:

Edit: Actually I'm interesting in what some of the others are paying for their internet as well. It would be interesting to see some comparisons between prices and what you get. Believe me, I would happily pay more for a better service, but their is no better service in my area.

 

Ummm.... My dad pays $40 for a 20mb/s download speed at my house and I pay about $30 for a 70mb/s download speed at my apartment. Can't get either on speedtest cuz I'm not there right now. Lol

Comcast is upgrading us to 100megs for free, just we have 2 routers so it splits in half.
Next week or so we'll have 100 .
