Rejected Frag-only fun round

You get infinite frags and a magneto stick. Pretty simple.

The delay and lag on lower end PC's hasn't changed.

 

But we have gun game on lost temple and inno motel :/

 

Delay on 1 map, compared to delay on all of them?

The other (and bigger) issue is lag on lower end PCs.

 

Our current fun rounds are already stretching the definition of fun

 

Pretty sure this would be much more "fun" than Gun Game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I love playing with frags and cooking them. I will give this a +1. To counter @Carned point of low end pc's. This game is 11 years old and the only time i have had a real issue with lag or things of that nature is on gun game on very tight spawns like community pool, innomotel and lost temple. Now the point is that I have a potatoe for a computer, my processor is 9 years old and i have a mediocre graphics card at best. I feel as if I am on low low end of the pc spectrum just above someone playing on a mac. (Sorry mac users no hate towards you but you just are not built for gaming (generaly) ) The average pc that most people own today have an i3 or higher or the amd equivilant. The average player is not running a potatoe. You ask what has changed in the last 3 years? Computers have changed! The second a pc is put together and shipped out it is out dated. Something newer and better is being built every day. The only time that this potential fun round would cause massive lag is in those clusterfuck spawns just like gungame. And unlike gun game players do not respawn when fragged so the server is not constantly trying to render players skins which is a major cause of the lag in gun game.

Imagine, 36 players, all throwing a frag at once on a small map with a tight spawn.

It would definitely lag even on medium-end PC's.

 

Not to mention back when this was last suggested most people were running windows 8 a very poorly designed OS. Anybody running windows 10 should have an easier time.

There's not that much of a difference, plus it's still on the old engine. There's engine limitations too.

I bet if 36 explosives go off at the same time, it'll be pretty laggy.

Remember, it's not only 36 explosions at once, there will be bodies too and most maps have props also, so they'll also fly.

 

If 36 people all throw frags at once, chances are half of them will kill at least one person. So after the first wave of deaths, things will calm down tremendously.

 

i dont see the fun dying 10 seconds once the round starts
