Well, how did you know or verify her feelings for you in the past? Did you confess feelings? Are you making assumptions? If she started dating your friend as soon as the school year started, maybe she never liked you that much to begin with. Why did she break up with your best friend? are you guys still friends? Seriously, can't really give you any advice with such vague statements. Do you guys hang out? Have you ever been intimate? I think we need some background information before we can analyze the fruitlessness of this endeavor.

If i can give you one piece of advice, learn to recognize what a healthy relationship looks like while you are in school. It'll just save you a lot of heart ache in the long run. I'm speaking strictly anecdotally, but I think just about every bodies first serious relationship did not go well. I know mine didn't. (not implying it's your first, but you are in high school which is where you generally first begin having serious relationships).
