Wondering what everyone thought about the show "Chernobyl" that HBO made. Personally, I thought it was amazing. As someone who considers themselves to be adept in Soviet history, it was pretty accurate with everything and portrayed even small details like the license plates being accurate on civilian cars vs military cars. The Soviet court system was pretty accurate (Though I can't comment on the actual court hearing as I was disappointed to not find full clips of the trial since well... you know if you watched apparently what happened). the liquidators and The music was amazing (my favorite being "Evacuation" which you can listen to below). The acting was well done and portrayed the Soviet People's attitudes accurately (Ex. the coal miners. They could do whatever they wanted since they were needed to dig a tunnel under the reactor to prevent water line contamination from the black sea). Again, would love to hear other's opinions.
