I think it's within the spirit of the rules that if someone else was just killed by a T right next to you, you shouldn't be KOSable for not immediately identifying the body and instead trying to defend yourself.

The idea that you have to jump right into the line of fire to identify a body immediately after its been killed without even taking 2 seconds to look for the killer is straight up dumb.

Bear in mind, this is not a situation where a guy ran off after being shot at or ignored a body for several seconds. This was a 2 second delay where a guy backed up a couple steps from a guy who was just headshotted in the open, then got killed while he was heading back over.

IMO, not enough of a chance 2 reasonably ID the body and the couple of steps away was not justification to consider it "ignoring" the body.

That you shouldn't be KOSable is your opinion. This is not the rule. Failure to ID is always traitorous, no matter how justified - UNLESS it puts you in immediate danger (incend, water trap on 67th, etc.) - that's the rule.

And you don't have to jump into the line of fire to ID immediately. And retaliating is perfectly understandable. But that does not make it not-traitorous that you're neglecting the body.

Turning around and or taking a step away from the body qualifies as ignoring it and failing to actively ID it. The moment you hesitate, stop, or walk away, it's traitorous.
