Man I'm gonna be playing this game for several years to come at the rate I'm going now. Just exploring and finding gear is incredibly satisfying to me so the story is usually on the back-burner when I play lmao.
I thought my habit of looting everything in sight and leaving no stone unturned was bad enough... but now I am finding myself becoming addicted to Gwent and the compulsion to collect all dem cards!
Just started playing it since yesterday. I kept brushing it off as a meaningless minigame, but 20 levels down the road I'd amassed quite a number of Gwent related quests, so I decided it was time to try it out. And now I've realised it's actually a pretty good minigame, and quite easy to learn, so now I'm hooked on collecting cards xD.
Looks like they made those cards from the woman purchasable by the merchant you save at the start of the game. So I got those cards... but unfortunately the Baron died cause I didn't join him to kill the witches, so I can't win his card, and won't be able to collect them all. When the merchants I beat say "you may have beat me, but you'll never collect them all" - it's just too real :'(
I found using decoys on medics to be a particularly good move. For instance, you play a medic to revive a card, then use a decoy on a medic, play the medic again, have the medic revive a spy card and receive 2 cards. You get a total of 4 cards from that play.
