This is going to a series in which I hope to, along with the help the community & decision makers, make improvements to the content on both TTT & Deathrun, starting here, with TTT Playermodels, the area I personally think needs a lot of loving, considering it one of the biggest draw in donations. As many of you know, I suggest and critique a lot on the forums and furthermore I check the workshop daily looking for content to suggest. However, I cannot be the sole voice for the community, hence the creation of these threads. Hopefully we can agree to an extent on what content we see as obsolete and work on suggesting improvements in one large place rather than have the Leads trawl through multiple threads. If anyone has any burning hates/likes in another section of the servers, here is the upcoming list I plan to create. (I think?) There's the lot. I've tried to make the comments as unbias as possible, however there are some models that are essentially better than others. As stated above I urge you to comment and list of Keep's and Replaces/Deletes, reasoning would be appreciated also, not just "I use it", explain why, I will tally them into the next post in this thread. Including my own person opinions. Feel free to link suggestions to replace any models then in the next post I shall create a credited list of models chosen alongside my own person choices. If i've overstepped the mark by making this post staff, feel free to PM me. I also cannot guarantee any thing will happen because of this post I simply want new content and if this makes leads jobs easier, I am willing to put the time in.
The only skin I really would want to see replace is the lara croft model. It looks awful and has outdated textures (which may be nostalgic to some) but with all the new tomb raider games there has to be at least one model of her that doesn't look complete ass.
I always love to use Dark Spiderman. The same person that has made awesome Catwoman and Batman models has also done Harley and Superman models. Gotta agree on Robocop; he's not a hugely popular character and the fact that one is chrome wouldn't really encourage me, personally, to donate more. Same with the Terminator models. Tron does work with player amd staff ranks; salmon for legendary and dark blue for elite. Maybe it's time to add new models remove the doubles.
I see batman being used still. I still regularly use it. DONT TOUCH MY BATMAN SKIN. We should definitely remove the doubles. I see a lot of -1's on threads saying stuff like "we already have a version of this character/entity/person" which usually leads me to thinking "then why do we have 2 terminators and 2 robocops" I hope nobody sees subzero and scorpion as doubles. Can't have one without the other.
I wouldn't mind. I like the batman we have now, it's like the silly campy cartoon batman. I wouldn't mind seeing like a badass hd dark night version though.
Likewise, however having multiple would fall under the two skin per character, interesting, however I don't fell Batman is top of the negatives list regardless.
If I remember right, the only reason it's of poor quality is to down-size the overall download of the model(s), as I'm sure is done to other models but I could be wrong. For the most part though, I agree with what you've categorized Carned. Good job <:
to clarify, I meant that I wouldn't mind the current batman model being replaced by a newer hd dark knight version.
When my elite runs out I will go back to spidey I always use him because no one else does honestly please keep that would be great. Two of them might be a little much though.
Good list. Would love to see some of these taken off and/or swapped out with better versions. Would also love to see at least one anime character playermodel, but I've never seen any in the workshop that looked good/was from anything well known. Hopefully someone makes a good One Punch Man playermodel soon. Also, do you test every single TTT playermodel before suggesting it to see if the hitboxes are good?
Anime Characters usually have extravagant hair etc, causing shitboxes, however I've linked some below for your perusing. And no, I don't test the hitboxes but It is is something I could end up doing to make things easier. Anime List One Punch Man (Enjoy!) Asuna Yuki (SAO) Alucard (Hellsing) However I really don't know enough about Animemes to decide what would be popular, just search "Anime" into Workshop. A lot have wings and shit making them obnoxious.
ah, yeah i saw that one punch man one, looked pretty bad to me (awkward looking). that asuna one actually looks pretty good, even though I don't care for the show. if the hitboxes are fine with it, and not bad because of the hair, then i could see it gaining a lot of backing on here (lots of sao fans)
A lot of people use the Ghost Recon model. A lot of people also use the Elite skin of the Ranger. Myself and @TrustworthyTerrorist , @Bear and some other Legendary users use this consistently or switch between it, Deadpool, and ZSS.
