Have Damage Logs?

Hey,

So if you saw my report post http://www.seriousttt.com/threads/r...-the-whole-time-and-supershowtimegames.14616/ It showed I had damage logs. Now this was with the tested logs (which is now removed) but it was helpful as HECK. Do you think No Staff should have damage logs but not able to see "Filed Reports" like on my screenshots of the report.

 

Nope.

If players can see the damage logs they will contest things they don't understand and will result in a mountain load of invalid report against staff members because they aren't trained to use the logs like, us, staff members are.

I fully agree with Carned, most players are not trained to use the logs. I would like to add, if a player RDMs completely, and they view the damage-logs, they have a possibility to find a good reason to claim why they killed them. This can be majorly abused.

Not to mention that every player having access to the damagelogs (and opening them) makes the server lag/stressed.

 

And even for the players that do understand the information, the amount of backseat moderating would be ridiculous.

 

Not just loophole trolling. People would also become way more impatient to have their reports finished if they have access to the damagelogs. This would cause the staff members to become bombarded with comments like "why isn't he slain? He shot first!" Or something else along the lines as well if they have access to the logs.

 

I thought there was end of round damage logs? Once I found that out, I haven't really bothered mods with "Who shot me in the middle of the round?" It also stopped me from pestering them when they wouldn't reply and in the end just say "crossfire" now I can see for myself
If they get rid of the end of the round logs than i'll support this, until then no.

I don't see why it's that big of a deal, exept for the lag part. Anyone can see logs anyway using the console. It just makes it easier.

 

The console logs, or end round logs only show the damage done by other players. That is not nearly as much as our damage-logs show.

 

This would be a nightmare for staff members for the above reasons. -1

 

There is a way for damage logs to be used by non staff but our server owner @Highwon has disabled our use through the orriginal lua but having access to old logs was the only thing non staff were able to use

 

If players want access to the logs, apply for mod; find out if you're trusted.

Ratings do and mean nothing on the forums. If you think they do, look who has the most positive and negative ratings. I don't think it matters and I will not be undoing my ratings.
