Answered Is there any way to temporarily store death scenes past one map?

  1. Hey,

I had a question regarding death scenes. I have seen a quite few times now in just one day that reports can be marked wordvword right after a map change because death scenes are lost after one. I was wondering if theres any way for the server to temporarily store the death scenes of the last round of a map (probably for the duration of a couple rounds or 1 map entirely) as to help staff deal with reports that happen on the final round of a map.

I personally record demo's every round so I am somewhat safe there, but there was a recent case where my demo allegedly did not have enough evidence to warrant a slay against another player, nor entirely prove them innocent. So as such, these reports or situations are able to be sweeped under the rug.

I would imagine the answer is no because of either 1) server limits and capabilities; or 2) not worth coding in

Might as well have asked than to never know

You can download death scenes but unfortunately, the creator of the death scene viewer was Perma-Banned so there's no real way to fix that since we don't have another dev.

    Yes and no.
Once map changes, the deathscenes are gone.
However, one could pray to God that the tool that saves deathscenes actually saves it so they can check on it later on.
In that case if it actually saves, the staff would have to view and save each deathscenes manually, which they may or may not be saved depending on whether it actually does function properly or not.

tl;dr: Yes. There is a tool. It's not exactly great at saving deathscenes. No. Once the map changes, they are gone. Thus, you can't view them anymore unless you saved them.

You have to be on the map of the demo to view the demo properly.
