Yes, reduced punishment. Retroactice. It reflects better with the original values of SGM. It can be seen as more strict in some sense previous to the recent rule changes.
The main thing I don't understand was the choice to make the first ban for hacking not global. It just allows trolls to hack on multiple servers, whereas an instant global will dissuade them from returning while those who actually want to come back and play for real can wait out the ban.

Is there ever gonna be a permanent ban for hacking offenses or is it gonna be up to the 18th time again to get them permaed? And I would like someone other than Lion to respond. Sorry but I would rather a lead or Highwon himself. Sorry to seem picky but this needs to have a definite or near it.
To be fair, hacking for the 9th time will already be a 20 year ban, and I'm not even considering the time it takes to get there!
