Make your predictions and discuss the possible upcoming war between North Korea and the U.S. Personally, I think the sides will be divided as following: The 'states will be allied with: Germany, Austria, GB, France, Canada, and a possible swap from Russia. N. Korea will be allied with: Russia(who I predict will swap to the allies' side midway through the war), and China. I'm not saying the war WILL happen, but as things stand right now the chance for peace is pretty grim. Also make sure to rate optimistic.
A war between North Korea and anyone won't be a real war unless China sends it's entire military to help, even then N. Korea is screwed.

Japan, S Korea, USA and Europe will go vs N Korea (obvious reasons), China would join N Korea as they are their closest allies and are not a big fan of the US, Russia would go with the US as they would win with the help of Europe and the other countries.
North Korea wont ally with anyone, ESPECIALLY with China or Russia. They are actually in the middle of starting a war themselves along with Japan, so its highly unlikely they will be n Cahoots any time soon. North Korea would be crushed with a single Nuclear Missile, but the reason they are so dangerous is because they dont care about killing people or their people being killed, so they could launch a Nuclear strike at any moment, killing perhaps millions of people in the process. The reason the Cold War stayed Cold was because both Russia and America knew that if they carried out a Nuclear Strike they would receive a counter Strike and they would put in danger millions of their own. But NK doesnt give a fuck about their population and they have proven it many times before, so they have no reason to not shoot missiles towards China or the US. Thats why they are such a threat
China doesnt favor in any way, so they would stay out. And they arent allies either, they actually hate each other and China wants to invade NK at any given opportunity, only its military is too strong. And if that was the case then NK would fall immediately, not cause a long lasting World War. They would however also take the opportunity to strike capitals and big cities around the world with Nuclear missiles and cause millions of deaths. It wouldnt be a World War, but more of a Doomsday for certain nations.
Exactly. China favors completely from other countries, especially Western ones, and has no reason to go against the US or Russia when they buy all their hard work.

China and the US are economically codependent. Although, China is gradually becoming more independent economically.
This thread... wtf? Whoever thinks that it's possible for this world to have another world war like we did in the past, is clearly uneducated in politics and military, it will not, and cannot happen. Mutually assured destruction, the fact that we all want to live will make sure that there is not another world war, the closest thing we will have is miniature wars that have small armies backed by others such as whats going on in syria right now.
Not entirely. Japanese still have military presence, but only for self defense (Japan Self-Defense Force). Thanks to policies of Shinzō Abe, he is attempting to expand Japanese's military and security authority by reinterpreting the constitution. However, Japanese citizens are against militarization (due to World War II defeat) (and use of nuclear energy due to their experiences with the atomic bombs) so it kind limits Abe's ability to fully change the constitution to allow them to militarize beyond self-defense. As for this thread, if North Korea is wiped out, this will hamper the economic powerhouse of South Korea and China due to refugees attempting to seek for better opportunities than what they received in North Korea. Thus, I really doubt China or U.S. or anybody will tackle on North Korea until they figure out how to solve the problems that the U.S. caused in aftermath of Iraq and Afghanistan Wars (the attempt to democratize the nations along with the major expenses to ensure that resurgency and fighting amongst them won't ensure).
Agree with you. Nations will never unite or declare war again in such fashion unless there is some kind of resource war in the near future. The possible wars that could start in the next decades are group and idealistic wars. If you take that into account, WW3 already started... But apart from that, the biggest reason that makes a third WW so unlikely, is the potential of Weapons of Mass Destruction that we have today. That war would last a maximum of a few days before total Nuclear annihilation.
This, and Japan has sent forces to fight terrorism in the middle east. They are seriously stretching to definition of "self-defence" but it is what it is.
