Hello! As all of you know, I am MakuziTheInuk, AKA 'Ronnie', 'Eek Barba Durkle' and 'Makuzi'. As to why I am 'Makuzi' dates back to eleven years ago. I remember going into a foster home, getting to know a family that I had no idea that I would be involved in. They knew me as 'Markosie' as my first name. A month or so went by since getting into the foster family, and I thought that telling my foster parents 'Makusi' as a nick name. But you know my foster parents being white, and white people have humourous ways of mispronouncing many things that aren't English. To this day, they still pronounce it as 'Muh-koo-see' when it's actually pronounced 'Maaw-koo-see' (spelled Maakusi), my name in Inuktitut. I honestly don't know how they can't pronounce it the way it's supposed to be. I had started grade 5 after I moved in with my foster parents. My teacher at the time had a tendency to pronounce my anglicized name as 'Muh-koo-zee'. I didn't think of it much of an alias at the time. I didn't start to use it as a nick name until I changed my Xbox gamertag from 'Metallica12389' to 'MakuziTheInuk'. 'TheInuk' part pretty much speaks for itself. I am Inuk, singular form for Inuit. Spoiler: Hello!
Cool post, thank you for sharing. It's interesting to hear the origins of people's usernames or how they came up with them.
