i'd love to see this option as well, but not instead of increasing the map lock timer, perhaps as a supplement to it. i worry that giving people the option to extend maps might only make it harder for lesser-seen maps to get chosen, rather than easier, since it'd give people the power to extend the already-overplayed maps, and i doubt the less overplayed maps would get enough votes to extend.
