I'm been getting a headache reading this thread and its only gotten worse. Anyone and everyone should be able to server if they wish, but to be honest, if they have history, are prone too, or if mentality issues arise, then unfortunately the risk is a bit too concerning to allow them or continue to serve.

I apologize if I don't word this case correctly, but if I feel that I should be a woman or if I'm comfortable identifying as one even though I was born a man, there is no problem there at all, I'm going to have the same views about everything, I'm not gonna have a breakdown if someone question's my gender issues, I just want to be able to serve for our country.

One of the reasons why this is going to shit.

I was in the military.

Most of the openly trans people should not have been.

I didn't support them being basically gifted reassignment surgery, among other things.

They were very socially awkward, and people who I wouldn't want watching my back down range. I don't care what some papers corroborated by the brass said, I was there and I interacted with them daily.

That being said, I had two friends who were decent, level headed, generally pleasant transsexual individuals.

On the topic of reassignment surgery do they have to serve a minimum of years/deployments before getting it or they can right away?
