I h8 vanilla and so does everyone else who matters So, I think we should have a automatic message that repeats in chat every... 5 or so minutes, displaying a "Missing textures? Use this <link> to fix that" so people can play on modded who have no textures. I... COULD go dig up a safe link that I know of but I'm too lazy.
If you're talking about source textures, it'd be a little illegal, considering it's pirating and all.

Yeahhhh. downloading models, assets, and textures from anyone that doesn't have Valve's distribution rights is illegal. (But valve dosent care so head ater' )
It's not illegal nor is it pirated, if it was then Garry's Mod itself would be illegal as it's re-sale of said sources under a different name. Downloading free source textures is perfectly legal.
not quite right as gmod is based off a copy of source sdk base, that has the half-life 2 textures baked in
