You still haven't explained what it is, only that Americans are ruining it for the rest of us (What is that even supposed to mean?).

If you can't explain it thoroughly in your own words, why should we do it?

 

Net neutrality is good. It's when nobody has any power over the internet and can't tell you which websites to go to.

Some profit seeking american ISP's (internet service providers, such as Comcast) are actively trying to get rid of it, because they want to be able to control what websites their customers go to. Basically constantly having you on a leash when going on the internet.

DISCLAIMER: This is as I understand it and not necessarily accurate, look it up yourself.

Net neutrality means that your ISP (internet service provider) can't "favour" anything on the internet. They can't give you great speed on youtube, but throttle your speed on, say, dailymotion.

Essentially, net neutrality means no bias in terms of service/availability; you as a user/consumer can choose freely which sites and services you use without experiencing issues in terms of internet service.

Loss of net neutrality would allow ISPs to sell "accessibility" by blocking content, prioritizing their affiliates or people who pay for it, etc...

Seriously though, look it up.
