Honestly, I want to try and dip into strategy games. However, I'm not exactly too knowledgeable of what type of games there are. I have played so far: Civ 5/6 XCOM: Enemy Unknown/XCOM 2 (on friend's steam so I don't have to buy it myself) Age of Mythology/Age of Empires Thus, I'm open to suggestions and willing to try them out. Thanks.
Darkest dungeon is good, its a rogeulike strategy if you mean grand strategy tho try Warhammer: Dawn of war, or any of their bigger titles. Tropico is good for sillier playthroughs. Hearts of iron IV for super serious micromanaging.
An old game, but Command and Conquer stands the test of time for me. Also, CIV Meier's is great - Revolution being my favorite.
Stellaris is a bit hit or miss if you'll like it but might be worth have a look. space civ basically. but for kinda-strategy-games, city skylines, escapists and besiege are p gucci.
I know this is a bit late but if you're still interested in strategy games I’ll recommend Hearts of Iron 4 for a grand strategy and Mount and Blade: Warband if you perfer a strategy game with a Role Play aspect.EDIT: If you prefer a more rouge genre with strategy I’ll recommend FTL: faster than light. EDIT once again: If you like a space type of strategy game Distant worlds universe is a great game it goes deep into managing your empire in every aspect such as civilian economy, military, and goverment.
I would recommend hearts of iron 4 as well but it takes some time to learn and is very hard to master, otherwise it's a good game
If you're a Warhammer 40K person, you could try the first two Dawn of War games and their expansions (Don't bother with III because it sucks) or maybe Mechanicus. I've been playing the latter a lot lately since I got it a couple of weeks ago.
