I'll remain neutral on this since DarkRP requires good amount of care and attention in order to stand out.

DarkRP servers are usually very highpop, the biggest servers can hold around 100 people. I can imagine that that would put a lot of stress on the server itself. Not only that, the amount of staff required for it would be a large amount. From my experience, DarkRP servers are usually very annoying to staff. If anything, a Prop Hunt server would make more sense. This is just my opinion.
I'm going to give a -1 on this.

I agree with Rick.

From experience with staffing on a DarkRP community, it can be difficult to moderate offences, for the most part I'd wager that TTT is way easier to moderate as offences are more or less cut and dry, and have a somewhat "cut and paste" response. However, with DarkRP you have a large variety of offences that are not always as easy to hand out punishments for. Certainly a lot of the same rules can carry over, no RDM, for example, but then you have NLR and Adverts and such that you have to enforce.

I also agree that another gamemode being added to the SGmod community could be very beneficial, however perhaps not DarkRP. Like Rick says, maybe another gamemode that allows for more "cut and paste" enforecement would be better. Like prophunt, for example.

 

Scratch that idea turns out there is already a server named Serious DarkRP, Mod please lock. Thanks for everyone that participated in this conversation.
