This thread is for suggesting a Rank Gauss Rifle, I made on my own, to be added to the upcoming anniversary event. Feel free to criticize this but please make it a constructive one. Feel free to ask any questions too.

Feel free to let me know if the colors need to be tweaked even though these are the colors which Rank knife use.

I was not able to find the color for the respective ranks: Developer, Owner, Mod, Admin, Lead Admin; in the VMT file of Rank Knife. Here is the link to the ZIP file containing .vtf and .vmt files:

Now would the rifle shot itself be that color or would the shot be the same blue that we are all used to?

 

Oh, that's a nice idea. The color of the projectile can be changed in a similar way. However, the color won't be your rank's color for the third person.

 

So basically only we would see the color change?

 

I like the idea! It'd be cool to see, and a nice little accessory to the donators and staff. Would it have the same rules as the ranked knife? I imagine so.

 

I don't really understand what you mean by rules of Rank Knife. If you're talking about the price of the Rank Gauss Rifle and its availability only during the specified events, that's up to the developers to decide.

 

I'm little confused here. I'm not sure if the third person can see different colors in the rank knife. If they can, then these changes will also be visible to the third person.

 

She means like if we see a Legendary color gauss rifle shot we are able to kos off that color if there is only one alive.

Color of the rank knife is visible to the other people around. If I was to stab someone with my rank knife they would see the cyan on the blade itself.

Yes, you could say it is a clone of the rank knife, just like golden scout being a clone of the golden Deagle, which again is a clone of golden AK and so on...

 

I would rather have something new and fresh than the same concept over and over.

Oh, and if possible, what would it look like if the VIP Gauss Rifle was a darker purple? (I like darker purple better than the light purple)

I agree with you. I actually messed up and put the developer color gauss rifle for VIP color gauss rifle... But as you can see in the projectiles, I've corrected myself. So no worries, the VIP will be darker than the actual preview
