Hey everyone, after talking with my friends a bit one of them brought up a cool idea. Since PvP is enabled on the server you can kill anyone at pretty much anytime (unless they are in a claim). So my friend came up with an idea so that during the daytime PvP is disabled, and during the night time PvP is enabled. Also PvP in the Nether and End are always enabled. This would make towns friendlier because everyone won't be able to kill each other until night time.
+1 just make it that if someone started pvp and the fight lasts longer than the 7 min night that it lasts until one escapes (have to set a limit here) or dies
While I do enjoy hunting down people during the daytime, a change like this would add a bit of depth to the PvP and I feel it would allow for players to trust each other more and be able to collaborate on projects. +1
This is definitely possible and something we discussed early on in planning that didn't come to fruition. PvP is also supposed to be enabled in claims, so this alongside that fix would lead to some nice pvp depth. +1 (want more feedback)
Could you make an ambient gong sound that signifies the beginning and end of this period? Similar sounds like 7 days to die.
Maybe. Custom sounds are out in Minecraft without mod packs, but we can use something already in the game.
