I was playing TTT and a guy named @ChinchillaOnAcid posted a really funny spray about anti-masturbation. It was even more funny in-context because the Mod at the time, who I won't name because neither of us want them in trouble, said they wanted turtles to go to Hell (as a joke because us turtle spectators were annoying her lmao). He got the spray just for them to laugh at, but they got really salty. Luckily, they were chill and didn't ban him, just removed the spray and issued a warning for its pornographic content. Still, that situation escalated rather sharply.

I believe the problem is in the wording of the porn rule.

Porn is defined as "arousing images, videos or depicting sexual activity, or that show general nudity in them. The spray doesn't have to explicitly display these either: even if you cut out the actual part, but the spray can still be understood as one of the above things, it still falls within the rule. Sex toys/objects or sexual liquids are also included in that.

Here is what I think should be changed.

Words that describe sexual activity, whether positively or negatively, are not/are also included.

Whether it's one or the other, it should be clarified for future situations. This made everyone uncomfortable because we all like the Mod and the guy who sprayed it.

Btw, the spray I'm referring to can be found here:

I'm confident in posting the link because I know it is not porn. However, on TTT, maybe it is. Either way, it should be clarified to prevent further instances between staff and player.

EDIT: You could also have it where maybe words describing it negatively are not included, but words describing it positively are. That's my preference.

There's a point where you draw the line, and masturbation causing you to go to hell is one of them. We shouldn't allow this in our Christian servers. +1

In all seriousness this isn't porn at all it's sexual in nature but not pornographic in nature there's a difference hence why you had to specific in your revision "descriptions of sexual activity" to be pornographic which is what I just referred to as sexual in nature whereas the actual definition accurately reflects pornographic content as arousing images, videos or depicting sexual activity, or that show general nudity in them.

Exactly why I said depicting sexual activity positively vs. negatively, or maybe even neutrally; which can be like sexual words like "I licked her bum tires" vs. "Licking bum tires is wrong" vs. "Some people lick bum tires."

yeah I completely agree with you, GMOD isn't a game for children it's a mature game, and rules like these make the experience feel way more childish, I personally don't understand how I can say nigga and call someone a cunt, but can't post a anti-masturbation spray.

But that's the thing it's not pornographic. Pornographic is much more explicitly detailed content than sexually charged vocabulary (which in all honesty is taken care of if it becomes like, literally you're reading a pornographic novel type of vocabulary" so they take care of it to an extent but to say "I licked her bum tires" is pornographic and should be treated as such would mean making this place into PG-13 content only. Fuck would have to be heavily monitored because it's used a lot in those contexts which I'm 100% sure no one wants regulated.

People have brains they'll pick apart when something becomes too graphic or if it's harmless that spray is harmless the mod who wanted to take action against it needs to be talked to about pornographic content (if I read your OP correctly) and this shouldn't actually be a thing.
