I'm gonna break my vow of silence to state something that shouldn't have to be stated so blatantly.

    Morality.

Who in the right mind thinks its within their rights to shoot a family, kids, babies, widowed mothers, broken families, broken people, the poor, or abused not convicted of anything to one's knowledge at the time or attempting to harm the border patrol all because they're seeking asylum?

Before I hear anyone say they could just be a cover I'll say firstly the baby or child playing a role in this 'cover' is blissfully unaware of their situation and this goes for any person that seeks asylum since in the end anyone making it to the border these days with how much has changed in regards to supporters down their exercising their freedoms to do what they wish with anyone crossing the border or with revamped security. Furthermore, if border patrol are all properly trained like a good officer that we have in the States they can handle situations going sour fast.

Don't you dare suggest it's a good idea to shoot anyone in sight. Literally suggesting we mirror a Berlin Wall strategy of effectiveness is going down the wrong path that should not ever be reflected in modern day US or anything else in regards to human ethics. We're a first world country and we're better than that there's better ways to combat a problem that's mostly non-violent. Unless you literally have half of Mexico invading through the border which is what Trump has been drumming up for these caravans (which in the end just isn't true) to sound like it's happening and trying to spoon feed to his supporters there's no need for such violent action for anyone who makes it to the border. That's so insanely asinine that it's comments like these that make me less surprise each day that we've voted the people we currently have into power.

I'm going silent again until someone loses sights on their morals. Don't make it sound so easy as to decide whose life is being forfeited to a gunshot all because they wish to seek asylum from whatever hell they faced in Mexico. People always losing sight about what it means to be human nowadays really depressing.

Rozboon you don't actually think they should all be shot do you? All you're doing is rating shit in here without input.

    A. Show source please.

    B. All dems are SJWs or commies, because that's what democrats like in 2019. His point was "Yes, because a lot of people who wear MAGA hats also support hate", so my point is not hypocritical at all it's rewording someone else's statement to show them how ridiculous it is.

    C. Giving tax money to healthcare and tuition was never mentioned, I'm talking about giving tax money / welfare to people who quote; "have the inability to work or have the refusal to work" from the Green New Deal, that's literal socialist trash and it's not about to happen. Anyone who supports the Green New Deal, or Alezandria Ocasio-Cortez in general is a fool who should be smacked with a ruler.

    D. Good. I like him for that, political games are what get us tied up with lobbyists and shit anyway. I like a president who has balls to turn on his own. I like that a lot.

Yeh, I know. I said it because saying "it's social liberalism" makes it easy for someone curious about political ideologies to read and learn about it.

    A. Well, here is an article about how the process works and while it doesn't explicitly give a timespan as to how long it is, the amount of procedures and steps would probably guarantee that it'd be a long time before an illegal immigrant is deported from the United States. As for the separation of children and the poor conditions, I have links to multiple news articles and blog posts about the subject that I can cite if need be.

    B. That is a load of bull. The term "Social Justice Warrior" was originally used to describe individuals who advocated for and defended marginalized groups from persecution with the most notable example being the LGBTQ community. Now it's been hijacked by the far-right and is used by the far-right to denigrate anyone who disagrees with them especially in regards to the subject of civil and/or equal rights. Secondly, as I said before in my previous post Communism is on life support and anyone who legitimately says it should be implemented here in the United States are not only incredibly misguided but obviously don't know how the fuck it works. Anyone else is probably trolling and considering how the Russians among others have tried infleuncing American politics via social media we can't rule out that some of them have ties to the Kremlin or other intelligence agencies from our foes. So stop trying to start a Red Scare, the Sixties are dead and so is McCarthyism. Lastly, I wasn't saying that anyone who is wearing a MAGA hat is a hateful biggot what I was trying to say is that the alt-right and other far-right extremists have adopted it as a symbol and people have associated that with their hateful rhetoric just like with Pepe the Frog.

    C. If AOC is a fool why has she called out legitimate flaws in the legal system that have allowed unlimited political lobbying from greedy corporations that has unfortunately caused corruption? Also you still haven't cited an alternative for the Green New Deal that not only addresses economic inequality but also climate change. Last time I checked, Trump's tax cuts for the rich haven't done shit to help the middle or lower class and instead it is essentially a payoff to the rich and wealthy. How can "Trickle-Down Economics" that the conservatives boast about work if none of the wealthy folk up top are letting the money go down to those below them when instead they are keeping it all for themselves?

    D. Technically speaking he's been playing political games such as when he allowed the longest shutdown in the history of the United States to occur and it wasn't a ballsy move it was a temper tantrum and a rather unprofessional one at that. As for getting tied up with lobbyists who says he hasn't been tied up with them? Remember those tax cuts to the rich he made? He literally bragged about them at a party with other wealthy individuals and how it'll make them richer. So once again, you've not only made a statement that is false and hypocritical but also contradictory.

I see nothing "Inhuman" about anything in those articles. Separating children from their parents is bad, but since they have no documentation, can some of them even prove those are their kids or are they just trafficking children. People with mumps in a large group of immigrants? Is that surprising to anyone? They obviously had it before entering the facility so that's not ICE's fault. A windowless room with one bathroom sounds a lot like a jailcell, packing 30 people into that is pretty excessive but, they're not supposed to get hotel rooms. They're criminals who have disregarded America's sovereignty and laws.

Social Justice is crippling our country, we've been degenerating for the past 7 years because of it. You talk about McCarthyism being dead, but you don't mention the fact that the liberal left have been re-igniting a similar ideology against everyone who disagrees with them. If you say women do get equal pay; you're a sexist. If you say white privilege is bs, you're racist. The list goes on.

AOC wants to give people the freedom not to work, but still be given welfare. That's insanity and that one idea is enough for me to denounce her. All of her speeches sound like they were written by college students, and when she debates it seems like she is just talking but not listening.

If you know anything about business, you realize you talk a lot of shit. Some of the most common dirt I see against Trump is from conversations he has at parties or with other individuals and people cite these conversations as actual plans, intentions or otherwise. There is a reason for the term "Locker-room talk" existing; I talk a lot of shit with my friends but plenty of times I say things I'd obviously not do. So, Trump bragging to other people? Yeah, okay. That literally means nothing.

This is quite moronic. You clearly don't understand influence and how it can make us better off. The more money you spend on a country the more favorable you appear to said country. There is a reason we participate in foreign politics, and that is to maintain our power level. Imagine it like this: We stop giving aid to foreign countries and guess who picks up the slack? Russia. China. Iran. Our enemies. The United States has a vested interest in maintaining a favorable relationship with most countries. If we leave the world stage (by pulling out of treaties and trade deals) we just end up losing our bargaining power and as a result a power vacuum forms. Guess who will rush to fill that vacuum? Probably China.

Like it or not, we are not an isolationist country. Maintaing good standing with other countries ensures us leverage and bargaining power. Also we only spend like 1% of the GDP on foreign aid anyways. that is about 50 billion. (we spend 500 billion on the military so -_-)
    A. Says a lot when your only crime is crossing an invisible line in the fucking sand. This is a problem completely of our making, as we decided as a nation years ago that crossing the border without documentation was a bad thing. Nobody should be killed for that.
    B. Examples? I'm very liberal, but i've never held any of these views. Like not a single one. Can you name any case where a right wing individual has been thrown in jail for his comments? Don't equate being called a racist to actually going to prison.
    C. Oh no. Not having to work? Sounds fucking terrible. Has she said something like that? Personally, I think that free healthcare and free education would better our society by easing the burden on the power and allowing them an easier time of moving up the ladder and acquiring wealth. Besides, welfare shouldn't be vilified so harshly anyways. Do you honestly believe that living on welfare is a goal to people? I'm also pretty sure that most programs require you to look for a job and or only use the program for 6 months. Each program is different, but I don't judge people so harshly for not working. Not like the state gives that much anyways, certainly not enough to live a life of luxury.
    D. Considering the fact that Trump doesn't telegraph his shit to people before he makes announcements this is the only way we can have insight into what he plans to do.

  8. Vent Xekart

    1. Did you even read how they being forcefully fed for having a hunger strike? If that isn't cruel then I don't know what it is. Also, you don't know if they caught the mumps from poor sanitation and/or conditions in a facility or whether they had it in the first place. That is like the bullshit claim that the immigrants coming here are carrying disease like Ebola. Also, as I said in one of my previous posts not everyone trying to get into the country has the proper documentation and even if they did what are the chances of them being allowed into the country if they did? Also, packing thirty or more people into the likes of a jail cell is pretty much guaranteeing that it'll become a breeding ground for diseases. Also, calling them all criminals for breaking a civil law rather than a federal one is a dick move considering many of them are trying to flee violence and persecution from Central and South America. What are we supposed to do, send them back to die?

    2. Since when is social justice crippling our country? That sounds like the kind of bullshit coming from the mouths of some far-right talking heads complaining about political correctness. Also lets be honest; Should we disregard the fact that women have been fighting for decades for equal pay/benefits as men? Should we really disregard the fact that there are still racial issues in this country that have yet to be dealt with especially considering the resurgent threat of white nationalists/supremacits in the US and the multiple times that black men/women have been killed when they could've easily been brought into custody without the use of excessive force? Should we really disregard the fact that despite the progress we've made with LGBTQ civil rights that there are still issues that need to be addressed not to mention the impending threat of those advances being all for nothing thanks to the influence of the evangelicals? If social justice is degenerating and crippling our country as you say, then the what would you suggest we do to rectify or even fix those problems? You haven't offered ANY solutions at all and neither have any conservatives.

    3. Bullshit! There is no realistic way of giving welfare to people who refuse to work UNLESS they are actually unable to do so. Even then there is a lot of red tape that needs to be dealt with. Also, what is wrong with her speeches sounding like they were written by college students? She's one of the younger members of congress and she's obviously going to be prone to making mistakes just like anyone else who starts working in one of the three branches of the government. Also this is the third time you have yet to mention and/or point out ANY similar legislation that can work in the place of the Green New Deal to address climate change and/or economic inequality.

    4. I'm going to admit right now I don't know shit about business in fact that's why I'm taking college courses to address that but I am not talking shit. There have been plenty of accusations against Trump's business deals and some of his organizations. Remember Trump University? It turned out to be a massive scam and even the National Review which has a conservative slant has admitted that much is true. Lets not forget that he's also facing multiple allegations of money laundering among other things. Also, may I remind you that he is still under investigation for colluding with a hostile foreign power? If the Mueller investigation is completed and evidence of him and/or his staff colluding with Russia is found then he's going to not only lose a lot of support very quickly but also what little credibility he had to begin with considering how much of a blatant pathological liar he is. Even if he isn't impeached because of opposition from the senate, it's going to kill any chances of him being re-elected in 2020.

    A. I can agree with that sentiment but there are and continue to be legitimate national security concerns. The main worry from conservatives and a number of liberals is that a member of DAESH and/or any other extremist group could enter Central and/or South America and either enter the country illegally and/or attempt to enter it legally so that they can either be a sleeper and/or actively commit an attack on our country. There needs to be a balance between national security and helping those in need. As I said in one of my previous posts the immigration system is broken and it desperately needs to be fixed despite the fact that both sides are butting heads on how to fix it.
    B. I'm an independent and while I do lean to the left on some issues I lean to the right on others. In the case of illegal immigration I think there needs to be something that can be done that can help asylum seekers and/or illegal immigrants seek citizenship here without compromising our national security. Unfortunately as I said before, both sides of the aisle are disagreeing with each other in how to carry something like that out which doesn't help matters at all.
    C. I'm personally skeptical of free healthcare and free education. I mean the money for both has to come from somewhere and I'm not entirely sure if higher taxes on the wealthy would cover the entirety of both. It could cover a majority of it but I don't think it'll cover all of it. Now, if the the Democrats were talking about affordable health care and education then maybe they might be able to work something out that is both economically practical and affordable with the Republicans.
    D. Like Trump ever has any definitive plans to begin with?

What we need (and trump has been getting us) is bilateral trade deals.

  10. There are certainly other ways to deal with an illegal crosser, particularly one who isn't being openly and immediately violent, but the point is that we don't owe them anything, they don't have any rights on our soil. Our constitutional rights are reserved for our own citizens, not anyone who sets foot over the border, liberal judges be damned. And think of the multitudinous other ways money spent on apprehending, transporting, processing and caring for these criminals could be spent on our own people. I devoted many words to this point in my last post. Ask, tell, make them get back over the border where they belong. And use whatever force necessary in the "make" step. There is certainly value and a need for there to be recourse to asylum for when it is genuinely needed by honest individuals. But we have few, if any, of these crossing our southern border. No one is chasing them to the border, shooting at them. We have a broken system where a whole people is being dishonest and taking advantage of us, and we have people in power who want to accommodate them at the expense of their own law abiding citizenry. If that "innocent person with child" doesn't want anything bad to befall him or his child, he should apply to immigrate legally or, better yet, get his rear in gear and fix his shithole country. And be aware of the consequences that would befall him if he tries to illegally enter our sovereign nation.

Bringing this up is pretty much idiotic. They should be thankful that they are being sheltered and fed, and not tossed straight back into the desert, as they should be. There is no reason we should spend any money accommodating criminals, while some of our own citizens lack basic necessities. And we don't allow incarcerated criminals to take their children to prison with them, and separating underage companions from illegal border crossers is no different.

@Pacifist , "free" healthcare, etc. is wrong because you're taking from the rest of us who work hard and would rather spend our money as we choose in order to provide it to those who are less motivated, less willing to be a productive member of society. And people do settle with the absolute minimum effort necessary to just live off of other peoples' money. They don't want to work, they just want to sit around all day watching TV, playing video games, doing drugs, and get somebody else's money to pay for it!

If it's somehow hard to understand for you, here is how borders work: we are a sovereign nation, this is our land. Like it or not, no matter how we came to acquire it. That means we set the lines that separate us from neighboring nations. And we get to say who can come in and how they should do it, and who is going to stay out. Period. That is how we became a prosperous nation, by letting in those who were of good moral character and would be a productive member of our society, and saying "go home" to everyone else. And we have gotten progressively worse the more and more unproductive and morally bankrupt people we have let in. That isn't the only reason, but it is a big factor. If you would rather we still were running around chasing herds of buffalo and brutally killing each for hunting grounds, be my guest. I'd rather keep my scalp, thank you.

If you don't like any of this, move to Mexico; see how you like it. Or join military and deploy to the dirt world. In this day and age of monumental stupidity in the masses, we should almost bring back compulsive service. Because when you go to these shitholes, and see the effect of lawlessness and the free reign of stupid and destructive peoples, you come to appreciate what our stringency has produced. You realize that, while all peoples are equal under God, on earth they are not, some of us do a better job than others, and for the greater good of those of us who do obey the law, we need to set rules on who will come into our nation. We can devote resources to bettering these peoples after we take care of our own. And I am not a veteran, I didn't have to do that to gain this knowledge. My occupation is producing food for the rest of the world. But, I have a great respect for these men and women who have served, not only because of the sacrifices they made for you and me, but because they are among the very wisest and best of our citizens, and they are, with very little exception, conservative, because that is how the real world works, that is reality, and they know it, they have seen it. Their sacrifice has made it possible for others to live an existence of naivety, pretentiousness, living in an artificial world.

We have some of these people present; you should thank them.

  11. And on to the gem that is @Vent Xekart 's post. Wowee.

    1. We don't need a bunch of starving prisoners on our hands, so force feeding them is a good thing. They are the ones who broke the law, they will now face the consequences. As said earlier, they should be grateful they are being treated even this graciously. And yes, they should simply return where they came from, and apply to immigrate legally. As said earlier, the only reason we have these freeloaders flowing into our nation, is because we are a great and prosperous nation, the envy of the world. We didn't get that way by packing up and leaving whenever anything went south. These people should return to their home countries and turn them into the next USA, not burden our nation till we are no better than where they are running from.

    2. "Social justice" is the product of a society which has no real purpose. Because you have nothing better to do, and rather than address your own bad life choices, you look for an artificial, outside "cause" to champion, because it makes you feel like you are doing some good, you are worth something. And it is no surprise this is most prevalent in our metro areas. When our manufacturing jobs left, so did the purpose and occupation of the large populations in small areas. Now you have "social justice" to occupy you, since these large populations have nothing better to do and have also abandoned the majority of the Judeo-Christian values by which our forefathers modeled their lives and built this great nation.

Into the details of what you so foolishly say:

    1. There is no inequality between men and women in regards to pay in the workplace. Women are paid less than men. Yes. Do you even want to know why? Because women don't do as much work, as well as men, as a general rule. There are some things, particularly occupations that require the feminine, nurturing traits, such as teaching and nursing, that women do better, because that is what they are naturally better at. But, in the majority of work, women don't do as much, as well. So, they are paid proportionally to how the perform. If I do more and better work than my sister, it is only right that I am compensated fairly, which means I am paid more than her.

It also comes down to choices: on average, women choose to do less demanding work, and shorter hours than men! Wow! What a concept! They freely choose to do less, so they are paid less! And this isn't a problem with women, it's just how they naturally are. Men and women are equal as persons, but in their capabilities and choices, they are far different. That doesn't mean women are worth less than men, they are just different! Anyone who claims there is inequality is just the idiot who denies our fundamental, natural differences. Sounds like discrimination!

Men do the hardest work, for the longest hours, so they are paid more, plain and simple. Men also have the unique benefits and privileges of dying more in the workplace and having a higher stress and suicide rate than women! Sounds like fun!

Men and women are different, they complement each other, they don't need to compete. Why would you want them to be exactly the same?

    2. Wow, how unique, another person white-knighting about racism, and how our poor minorities are oppressed. We have equal opportunity in this country, but what you get out of it is up to you as a person. If you are a person, possibly a member of a group that tends to behave this way, that doesn't respect the laws or their fellow citizen, or doesn't work as hard as I do, and also spends a significant amount of time blaming me and a certain race for their problems, and you get less at the end of the day, it is your own fault, and yours alone. This doesn't mean all people belonging to minority races, etc., are this way. I know a few who are as productive and good citizens as I myself am, but on average, they aren't, by their own choice.

Western civilization was built by the white, Christian man. Though there have been some who treated other peoples unfairly in the past, we have built modern nations that bend over backwards to give minorities every privilege and advantage that exists, whenever possible. And you still complain, and they as well! The Black and Hispanic man has had no greater opportunities anywhere, at anytime in history as he enjoys today in America. And yet he still blames the white man for all his problems. He is no longer enslaved on the plantation, but he keeps himself mentally enslaved by never owning his problems, never taking responsibility. If he did so, and there are countless that have, he would quickly better himself and rise to equal economic and social status as his white peers.

These minorities that scream "RACISM" anytime they fail, don't get their way, or simply don't like how things turned out, are biting the hand that feeds them, the hand that has given them everything they have, the immense opportunities they should be eternally grateful for. Who do we have to thank for the abolition of slavery everywhere in the modern world, and the assistance of minorities everywhere? The white, Christian man.

I consider all men my equal before God; but on earth, before men, not all of them stand as tall. Not all of them has accomplished so much. Not all of them has gone out of his way to help those who are less capable of doing the same. This is fact, not hate.

And you are blind if you believe what you hear about those "poor black men gunned down by police". Police kill more whites than blacks. There are blacks who have done more heinous crimes and were arrested alive, and whites shot for less. In almost every single incident, those "unarmed black men" were actually armed or otherwise capable of causing serious injury or death to our public servants who shot them. But, of course, you never hear the necessary context from your mainstream media. And you never hear about the unarmed white man shot by police, but the black man is national news and riots commence! More productivity and lawfulness, ahhhh! Here's a hint: if you in anyway threaten the lives of our policemen and women, you deserve to be met with deadly force, and no one should sympathize with you.

Across the nation, people were up in arms about the a few white boys who
smiled at a very rude and stupid American Indian; violence against these boys was advocated, and we almost didn't hear the end of it. But, of the white musician who was gunned down by a group of black teenagers for not handing over his car keys in Nashville last week, there was hardly even a whisper! You probably never heard of it! Yes, black on white racism is certainly our greatest problem, sir, no doubt!

Oh, and you cry and cry about the poor, poor LGBT peoples; oh, they are so badly oppressed by us evil Christian white folk that us just saying a word in opposition is enough for them to take us through all the courts! Bullshit, as you say. No one in this country enjoys such unchecked, unquestionable power as they do at present.

All I will say is this: right and wrong exist, those are eternal truths. This country that presently caters to your precious LGBT was built by men of good character and strong Christian morals. And they will continue to triumph long after you and I are dead and the LGBT movement fades into history. All civilizations before us that fell grew more decadent, more depraved, more immoral as they wound down to their ultimate demise. Take a hint from history.

I don't wish harm to those who profess to be LGBT, they are my brothers and sisters before God as well. But, I do not approve of their lifestyle choices; instead, I extend a helping hand for them to return to truth. It's never too late to abandon wrongdoing and start anew.

And then you piss on the idea of nationalism. I'm going to assume you are a native born US citizen. Your forefathers modeled their lives around the Judeo-Christian values that built Western civilization, and it is to their great effort, their blood, sweat, and tears that they invested in building this great nation that you owe the privilege of sitting here today, saying untruths as you please, and showing immense ingratitude for those who gave their all that you might have a better life, in a strong, safe, secure nation, that guarantees your God-given freedoms. "Nationalism" is not wanting that kind of nation to fail. Keep denigrating nationalism, my friend. If this nation fails, you'll lose the privilege of being able to criticize what you don't like and utterly fail to understand.

Welfare for those who refuse to work is utterly stupid, and your point is irrelevant, as the original "Green New Deal" clearly stated "living wage for those unable or unwilling to work". It wasn't just unable, it said unwilling. Obviously, they have backtracked, but, the whole idea is borderline brain dead. And if you really think that mankind is significantly altering our climate in a negative way, that's a damn good joke! I already told a few others here I would present information disproving that and will do so when I have more time. This already has consumed quite some time. And if you think we will legislate our problems out of existence, that's even more hilarious and ridiculous. All that will happen is more and worse would arise, hence, the "Green New Deal"!

I expect you'll respond with great fury, you'll label me a racist and a homophobe. Try to remember that as you have the right to say these things, I have the right to speak in opposition to them, and in opposition to your views. That doesn't constitute hate, my friend. And I trust the staff here will be impartial enough to see this as well, as someone will undoubtedly try to get me crucified for saying these things.

They need us in the same way we need them. They can exist together. It is MUTUALLY beneficial. We provide aid to a country in the hopes that they grant us legitimacy in international diplomacy. Like it or not, you can't just do what you want on the world stage, people have to recognize your power. The US has been privileged to have that power guaranteed based off our success in the cold war, we emerged as the dominate power in the world. We don't have to fight any war we don't want to, because let's face it, the stopping power of water pretty much guarantees us that we wont be attacked on home soil. We invade and we sell stuff because it is good for us, not because we are morally virtuous. I guess it depends on how you frame the world. If you believe the world is a zero sum game then you can recognize that we gain a lot when we pump money into an economy that may favor us in the future. This exploitation ensures us a foothold in regional security. If you believe that the world is not a zero sum game you come to the realization that what is good for other countries can also be good for us. I'm very much a believer that eventually globalization will tear down barriers and the world will become increasingly interconnected until such a time that the world is a single unification. This wont happen in any of our life times, as the rise of nationalist powers has risen out of opposition to globalization. To that, we may have a differing opinion. However, to say that aiding other countries is damaging US is really stupid.
This idea that you would be footing the bill for deadbeats is astonishing because you already do it. You realize that a sizable chunk of your taxes go to welfare programs correct? The problem here is that only a select few people have access to those programs, and very few people have access to healthcare. They simply... cannot afford it... I mean, my dad works 60 hours a week and can't afford healthcare. My mother works 40 hours a week and can't afford healthcare. Why is that? The Healthcare industry has massively inflated the prices of medical procedures and allowed for drug prices to skyrocket. Insurance companies make a killing off of high premiums and price negotiations with hospitals (we will discount our crazy rates to less crazy rates, but only for a specific insurance carrier, and only for certain plans) and use their power in the market to exercise complete control over the price of healthcare. If you don't have insurance prices, you are forced to pay high medical bills. Even for the working man this is exploitative. It all comes down to elasticity. Let me explain in more detail.

If I have an elastic good, let's say I am selling a chair. I can't raise the price for that chair too high because people wont buy it (the demand will go down). However, if I am selling an inelastic service, healthcare in this case, I can raise the price as high as I want to because the demand will never shift. No matter what, people need healthcare. You can't just simply decide not to go to the hospital. This ensures that they can sell healthcare at whatever prices they want to and nobody can argue. There is a counter point to this, that competition would help the market. As cute as it is, competition would help... if the following things were true: Insurance companies didn't exist, regional monopolies didn't exist, you had the opportunity to research prices. I'll break down each point. 1) Insurance companies create lists of preferred hospitals, that is, hospitals that will take their lowered negotiated rate. This confines people to choosing from specific hospitals, thus narrowing down their options because the insurance will not foot the bill if you go to a hospital outside their preferred network. 2) Most towns or villages have a single hospital, if they have a hospital at all. If you aren't seriously ill you can obviously check and research other hospitals, but that brings me to my next point. 3) Most hospitals don't publish price breakdowns, or if they do they are confusing and vague. This is one thing trump is working to fix, which I hope he does very soon. Either way, you may not have the ability to choose a hospital if it is an emergency. Who is to say that the ambulance driver doesn't take you to the most expensive one?

The problems with healthcare can be fixed with modeling our system on systems that work in other countries. I am not advocating this because I want to help the poor, I am advocating for this because it would help ME and well... everyone. Is that selfish? Absolutely, but it isn't any less selfish than your argument of "I don't want to give my money away so that others can have healthcare". The idea here is that free healthcare would simply be cheaper for every american, not just those deadbeats you mention.

Alright, let's tackle your border part now. Firstly, you don't need to be condescending. I know how a border works and why they are necessary. What I am saying is that our border is needlessly restrictive for a nation that we are at peace with. We wouldn't have so many illegal immigrants if we simply said "you can come in and you can go back and then come back in again". Why do you think they stay when their visas expire? Could it be that they fear that they will lose any physical things they have gained in America? What if when you visit your family in Mexico you return to find that you are no longer allowed back in the country. Now your family is stranded in America with no income. If you allowed for more freedom of movement, you'd be better off. That isn't to say that we should just invite criminals and gangs into the country. I'm not advocating for an open border, just a more relaxed one.

Your second paragraph is just insulting. "We need to look after our own first". If that were true then healthcare would be cheaper, infrastructure would be better, our debt would be lower, and our quality of life would be better. You are the one who is so hellbent and focused on the military and our southern border. Personally, I find your rampant patriotic fervor sickening. I respect the military, and all those who serve. That being said, they don't need constant praise. Any true military man knows that you take an oath to protect the constitution, and that constitution gives the average american the right to be critical, to be fearful, and to act with restraint in regards to the military. I don't share your sentiment that you need to serve your country to have an understanding of politics of international policy.

I'll do a part two hold on.

    1. They should be thankful for not being starved to death? Sorry, but that sounds a step above concentration camps.

    2. Would you say healthcare is a basic necessity? Housing? Food? Yet your party is the demographic most likely to be against funding foodstamps and the Affordable Care Act, so why do you suddenly care about the less fortunate now?

    3. This comparison is irrelevant, and stupid. We dont put children in jail for the crimes their parents committed. And, given the fact they are undocumented immigrants, it is much more difficult to locate their children once they have been removed from the parent(s). Mexicans seeking asylum are not the same as methheads or murderers. There is no reason they cannot be held with their family.

You are truly ignorant if you dont believe minorities in this country weren't dealt a short hand.

Here's a word you can add to your vocabulary: gentrification.

Ever wonder why poorer neighborhoods were and still are predominantly black? Because the government, back when racism was at its peak, created those neighborhoods to segregate them from white, middle-class Americans. They built the bare minimum, and gave them to blacks for cheap. What they didn't tell them is that it would be nearly impossible for them to move up, because the economy in these neighborhoods does not give the minorities any advantage whatsoever. This leads to gangs, drug trafficking, and robbery to even survive. People from these areas are usually discriminated against, especially when it comes to loans, which is one of the only ways to leave their situation.

That is not "equal opportunity". You give the people in those neighborhoods the same opportunities you had, I am positive they would be willing to work just as hard as you do, if not more so.

How do you explain the Asian population? And the Irish? They were in the same boat as the blacks back in the day

Sure, Asians and Irish people were discriminated against for a short period of time, but you cant possibly believe it was to the extent of Hispanics and blacks in America.

Quoting would take a huuuuge amount of effort that I won't do, but in regards to the "mental enslavement" or whatever you called it, your approach to the topic is intellectually dishonest, Doc Holiboy.

It is not as simple as them blaming white people, blaming the system, etc. No rational person wants to shift the blame. You need to try to understand why these people, even though they have 'equal opportunity' still on average have greater issues than their white counterparts. First things first, poor people have shitty conditions regardless of skin colour. There's no privilege in being poor. And when some people manage to climb out of poverty, that is a testament to their own strength and hard work.
That, however, does not mean those who join gangs and 'contribute nothing to society' are lazy or mentally enslaving themselves or whatever the fuck you want to call it. Yeah, yeah, I know, "I'm not saying all" - I know you're not. But you are painting this as a general tendency when I have seen no evidence to support the position that black people or Hispanics just blame the system for all their ails. Plenty of people do not share that sentiment, whether because they don't care or another reason altogether.
People will survive. And a lot of people who grow up in poverty will stay in poverty, and their children after them. A lot of people who grow up in a gang environment will join a gang as a means of self preservation. A means of survival. Are there people who sit back and blame the world for their life? Yeah. There are people who refuse to take responsibility for their own lives in every social strata. But this is not the norm in any of the strata. People will survive and do whatever it takes. And often, this leads them down the beaten path where they remain in the shit they were born into. It's not easy to climb out of such an environment. It's like a ball and chain that you have to work every day to cut loose against great adversity. Some parents in these environments are deadbeats, some gave up, and some support their children as best they can to help their children get better lives. And we admire those parents, because even if they couldn't break loose from that chain, they work themselves to the bone to help their children do so.

It makes a huge difference to be born into a middle class family that can guarantee a decent meal every night, relatives that can support them in a multitude of ways (socially, emotionally, financially, etc.)... and being born into a family where the dad is a deadbeat alcoholic, mom is working three and a half jobs at minimum wage just to keep a roof over your head and food on the table. Some people are resilient and stubborn and can rise up even from these circumstances. But the average person won't have that kind of personal strength and force of will. I've obviously painted a picture here to illustrate my point as best I can manage, and feel free to call me biased for it. I'm only trying to make the point that social mobility is hard-earned and often a lone battle against all odds. You cannot reasonably expect everyone to manage that. It is not easy. And while I can't provide a statistic to support it, I'd assert that the vast majority of people work hard and live their lives as best they can in the circumstances given. Do some blame the world and the weather and the system, while making no real effort to help themselves? Yes, of course they do. But they are not representative of the average person.

Top kek, people are a product of their mentality and the decisions they make.

Once upon a time I was born into a wealthy family but due to unforeseen circumstances by the time I was 6 we were at rock bottom. My father left, and my mother was left to raise 3 children solo.
I grew up in San Bernardino as poor as it gets surrounded by gangs, and with friends who were gang memebers. Not once did I even think of joining one. Stop making excuses for other people’s shit judgement.
