As some of you may have noticed when I upload forum reports, my OBS recordings have audio just fine but the visuals itself is EXTREMELY choppy, like 1 FPs or so, and very choppy. Does anyone know what this might be caused by?
It would seem that issue is fixed, althoug hte resolution dips on occasion, but now ive bonked the sound. but i think i can fix that?
Since this isn’t a hijack and im trying to fix obs what about streaming what settings would you reccomend for obs
As for the res dipping, what are your pc specs? Using software encoding uses alot of your cpu, where as hardware uses alot of your gpu. Ive found hardware encoding to ALOT more demanding especially if you dont have a fairly new gpu with at least 4 gb of vram.
PRess windows key+ R Typing dxdiag in the run box Press yes It shows your specs but you have to click the display tab to see your gpu

Thats your problem. You dont have a dedicated gpu and your cpu and keep up with the demand for recording, the game, and keeping your pc running.
Mostly. Theres nothing really you can do at this point. Record at 720p 30 fps have a bitrate of like 2000 maybe lower Thats all i can really think about i guess
