You're talking to the right man. I personally enjoy alternative/experimental rock. My favorite bands include Muse, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of the Stone Age, etc. Also, I mainly find my new music through Pandora. By creating a radio station based off of a certain artist/genre, Pandora will select other tracks similar to your tastes specified. It's how I found a lot of my newer favorite bands, and appreciate other bands more in the process.
