Now obviously I have no idea what plug-ins are being planned, or really anything other than the server is going to involve Factions. But I'd like to suggest, if possible, you make the map plus-sign shaped, + I don't know what people's experience with factions is, or how hardcore they're planning to go, but the corners are the most sought after land in competitive factions. It's easier to spot enemies, build cannon-proofing and overall defend from a corner because you only have to cover 2 sides. A plus-shaped map doubles the corners from the standard square map, so I'd like to suggest this now in the early stage of the planning just so you can see and consider it.
Vanilla survival > factions Also how about a circle border, no corners for anyone this would mean people who can't be online day 1 don't have a massive disadvantage
-1 tbh. There's always a way to break into a base if its a good factions server. If they're very sought after spots then maybe there will be a race there/frequent raid attempts.
I've never seen a plus shaped map, it would be pretty interesting but my factions thing is always to claim as many corners as possible ASAP so I prefer square shaped tbh. Less corners - more power the corners are (plus if there were 8 factions with corner bases thats kind evil the less corner bases the better IMO) I'm fine with anything that isn't a circle tho lol
