So this has been suggested in the past and has been turned down due to being pretty intensive on the servers (here).

I verified this with Opalium, and this is indeed true. Every time staff checks the list it has to query the database and it does take 5-10 seconds for it to return back to us due to how hefty the process is. Making it public is going to cause additional strain.

Because of this, I’ll have to reject this suggestion.

Edit: It was pointed out to me that forum bans was mentioned as well, my comment above, while it was in jest, has a bit of a ring of truth to it. We don't want others causing drama over the bans for silly reasons. Besides, the "ban reason" that's usually accompanied with a ban is usually pretty boring anyways. It's typically just "Rule violations".

We don’t use sourcebans and currently our current system works pretty well for us including the integration with our different staff tools, with the exception of this minor limitation.
