So it seems to be a change in the rules as before you were not allowed to false kos without reason and the rules seem to have changed. I now hear that if you false kos someone for aboslutely no reason at random, it's not slayable if no one has followed that kos.

Can someone confirm this so I can know this for sure?

That is correct. If you falsely KOS a player and he does NOT die to it, you will not be slain. If he takes damage due to the KOS, the person calling it will be slain though.

Also note that this isn't a change in rules. It has always been this way.

It has? I've always seen people getting slayed for false kos'ing. In this case someone kos'ed me. I shot him and he shot back. all allowed because of a false kos... so it might be something you may want to look into

I have slain many people for false koses, because the KOS was false and it resulted in that players death. So you may see these slays, but there might be a story behind it other than the slay reasoning being "false KOS".
