Yes, it's often easier to spot a hacker when we spectate them. But how do we know when or who do we need to spectate? Here are a few personal tips. Please feel free to add more, I am sure that there are a lot more: 1) If you get shot as soon as you pop out of the corner, he might have hack. 2) If the guy manages to land all perfect headshots, and his name is not @Voca or (insert names of other pros here), especially with HUGE or Glock, he is probably hacking. 3) If you suddenly see a sea of unIDed bodies or many missing in actions right at the start of the round, somebody probably has hacks. 4) If somebody keep their crosshair constantly tracking at other ppl's head or body, even through the wall, it's probably hack. 5) If somebody is oblivious about how TTT plays (does not know that disguiser = traitor, does not know t weapons, being oblivious to the surroundings, etc..), yet keeps scoring many kills, he might have hacks. 6) If you see somebody has jerky player model (keeps jerking their aims to other directions), probably hacks. 7) If you see a bunch of traitors died within a short time right after the round started, probably t-finder hacks. 8) If you get killed by your t buddy with a gun, sometimes it's best to spectate the guy, cause his aimbot might not discriminate innocents and traitors. 9) If they hit a completely different target from what they intended to hit with a perfect headshot, maybe hack (for example: they said they are KOSing and shooting a traitor, but instead they hit the D's head nearby). 10) If they get insta kills with weapons like Glock, MAC-10, HUGE,...
One of the more obvious ones would be if the guy keeps swapping targets while he is shooting. If a player has very high accuracy with a high recoil weapon, he might be usign no Recoil hacks. If the player knows your position without having seen you or without a Radar, they might have Wallhacks. One of the things I often pay attention to (Mostly on Vanilla) if someone uses the regular M4 that shoots one bullet at a time, and manages to land 2 headshots on you with it after firing only 2 bullets, I would always go spec them to check if they were Hacking. Another tip, if you think someone killed you using hacks, and spec them to see if they were and it doesnt seem like they were hacking, dont stop having the suspicion, they might have the abillity to toggle the hack and spectator hacks on so they can see whenever someone is spectating them. o.o
Yeah I have seen people start playing badly or deliberately throw game the moment they get spec in first person.
Classic prank: Hold a deathstation and walk up to someone you suspect of hacking. IF he kills you for holding the deathstation he is dumb, but more importantly he has a thing that tells him what weapon you are holding. Situational at best.
