hey man i listened to some, some of them you said were jokes and were pretty funny. The ones that I think you were serious about actually sounded pretty good, gj my boy
panic attack music
Still working on this but
hmu if u wna see the score of this or are curious what it looks like or smthn (looks pretty cool). made the thing in musescore. i don't wna upload to musescore tho cus i'm at the limit of free scores you can upload and i don't wna see another one of my old ones get deleted, but i could just take sum screenshots or smthn y'know idk. nobody's rly reading this anyways
you've improved a lot man, i love the strings in this and when it picks up at 40 seconds
aw thanks buddy. i'm trying. hard to get results tho. hopefully improving, tho, ya.
Updated it. Still a work in progress tho.
new work in progress just started today
I enjoy your music. It kind of has a beautiful chaotic malevolence to it, almost like it wasn't written to be resolved. Like in the small orchestral one it almost had a spot near the end where it was going to level out and be a melodic sendoff, but you can still here those chaotic undertones. If I had to describe how it makes me feel, I'd say it felt like I was being torn apart by two competing emotions, both happiness and triumph, and some never ending dread that piles up in the background.
Needless to say, I fucking loved it lol
thx a lot men :'-)
this is actually a less dissonant version lolol. there was some really nasty low chromatic descending notes striking throughout kinda randomly earlier on, and it ended up resolving on something super gross out of key, but i decided to not go with that idea cus it didn't add any actual harmonic value imo and was creating some super nasty tone clusters that rly took away from the chords i actually liked. that being said the ending needs a lot of work and i also gotta figure out what i want the voice to be doing near the second half + hopefully extend the thing and add more variance.
also rly heavily inspired by Schnittke so maybe you would like him if you were into it
This is my "just for fun" project which I was using to just kinda jot down ideas and roll with them instead of really thinking about them so much, mostly used as a good break project from my other ones cus sometimes need a break to just write stupid shit cus music is frustrating & have a bit of a problem with perfection (even if you don't get that vibe from anything i've posted).
Anyways, some cool lil' bits and ideas here and there which could possibly be re-worked into smthn better/other projects, but as a whole it's mostly just nonsense and
work in progress i started today, a lot happier/cuter than my other stuff, still very dissonant though. needs a lot of work and the ending (?) is pretty open (just wanted to jot sum rough ideas down for it before stopping).
pretty happy with this one so far!
The tapering off at the end is actually kinda nice. Maybe a decrescendo in the bass as it fades out leaving just soft right hand in the end. There are a few dissonant chords, but, y'know. Jazzy. I loved all the grace notes.
Also the left hand around measure 38? Fuckin top tier. Love it.
Lolol, yeah no the tapering off is completely just cause of me trying to speedrun a continuation of the melody before i quit (as i often return to a project and then have no idea how to continue it and then i never do), and i couldn't be bothered to try and come up with chords while speedrunning it... There definitely needs to be a decrescendo of some sort though, as the volume has sorta been increasing has gotten pretty loud towards the end, but it's supposed to be a more quiet piece.. currently thinking of stretching the end out more/adding a different section, as the whole thing has kinda just been gravitating around that one B major 7th chord and i'd like to try and modulate somewhere else entirely for a while before coming back to it (maybe even change the rhythm as the left hand is super stagnant as well so if i'm gonna change key might as well change some more shit(could even change the frequency range as it doesn't rly utilize the size of the piano enough)). Shouldn't be too hard cause I already got the lament bass going (i think that's what you're talking about by left hand at 38). have this issue/quirk i picked up after learning Chopin's Prelude in E Minor where I have to add a lament bass somewhere to almost every single composition I make... Thought this would be the one where I don't but here we are, I guess.. l
and yea im a slut for dissonance, although in this one it comes off more jazzy rather than scary, i guess. personally favorite chord, is this one which is also sustained the longest,
but could also maybe use a few more notes.... (edit: nevermind, forgot that it plays overtop an entirely different chord, so it's 7 different notes in total/basically the entire B major scale except a D natural (creating a rly nasty dissonance between the C# and D#, and there's no F sharp... Might add an F# though...)
also thanks for the reply! you make music or play piano or anything? you seem like you might from ur comment
only 30 seconds
expanded it and put guitar vibrato on the piano for a nice circus kinda sound
