Does serious have a discord?

its way better than TS and easy to set up. you could even have music bots and admin channels. problem with that, though. you would have to manually set everyone as a specific role, which is annoying.

This has been asked multiple times and all have received the same answer or relatively close. SGM does not have an official discord but there are many discords that people have made for most of their SGM friends and community members.

 

There's an un-official EU Community discord, just create a conversation with me if you want an invite.

So we've only had unofficial discussions about a possible community Discord. The issue with making one is that everything it can offer is already available. You can post memes, talk about shows, and even request staff all on the forums. The shoutbox emulates a live chat similar to Discord's. Private conversations can always take place in PMs or on Steam. And of course, voice chat is already available on our teamspeak.

I, personally, share the sentiment that Discord is super awesome, but it's tough to think of it as a necessity when it'd just be another thing to regulate/manage for the staff-team, and with all the features already being available on our presently available platforms it just makes more sense not to make one. Staff members would have to closely monitor both the forums and Discord at the same time to ensure that there isn't any porn or any other "banned" content being posted. I'm sorry to shut down the idea, but at this current time I do not see a need for a community Discord. You are free to regulate your own and invite whomever you like, but please try not to use our name (seriousgmod/seriousttt) as we do not directly endorse it.
