CS:GO Players of SGM, unite! We have been challenged! The Edgegamers community is hosting yet again the Battle of the Communities event, and we are taking part! But for this to happen, we need our best men and women to step right up... What we need 5 main players 4 substitutes at max (9 players in total) Bear in mind... (Huge thanks to @Hyper for this part) This tournament will be played on a US server (Chicago) - keep this in mind! If you are fond of modding and customizing CS:GO, please read the extended rules of the thread thoroughly before sending in an admission form as there are intricate rules concerning that domain. If the above does not concern you, here are some general rules to keep in mind: A team will consist of up to nine players. If a team is not able to attend, they will lose by default. If a team is not able to complete a match, they will lose by default. No substitutes will be allowed once the match starts. Each team is allowed a single timeout per match. Any disconnects during a round will be considered a death for that player. Matches will be played on the eGO CS:GO Event Server with eGO Tournament Staff to moderate. Those who want to participate in the tournament will need to be in the designated server no later than 15 minutes prior to their match time. The tournament will be a double elimination setup. The first team to win 16 rounds will be the winner. Players with a previous VAC ban on any account within the past 365 days or have less than 25 hours recorded on CS:GO will not be allowed to enter. VAC bans received at any point during the tournament, regardless of the game, will be considered an automatic disqualification. Players will record demos of all their matches and be willing to submit them for review upon request. Cheating of any kind will result in the team's removal from this and possibly future tournaments. This is a tournament strictly for fun, so anyone who isn't particularly competitive is welcome to fill out a form! There is no prize other than bragging rights. But hey, that's the best part, eh? Last and certainly not least, remember: you are representing our community as a whole so you must retain a professional and polite attitude. I could join, however I'd prefer to be a substitute since my ping would be quite bad as I'm european. Besides that, I only really play Inferno. Other maps I do know (but not play often) are Canals, Train, Mirage, Cobblestone, Overpass, Cache. Oh and a fun fact, my preferred weapon is a p90. It's actually the only weapon I use. They are hoping to start at around this time but I'd say to gather in ts about an hour in advance to be sure. If all the participants could meet in Teamspeak tonight so we could verify everyone on their website, that would be greatly appreciated.
