Change Ghosting Rule

As the rules currently stand, a living player PMing another living player who is a traitor is ghosting.

Should this be considered ghosting?

I would argue that it should not be considered ghosting specifically because of one factor: where's the ghost? Where's the dead player relaying info? It's called ghosting for a reason! I don't see why living players should not be allowed to relay round-related information to each other. Telling another player that someone is a traitor in public text or voice chat ruins that element of surprise that the innocent player previously had when the traitor did not know they had been figured out. The use of PMs keeps this element of surprise.

I agree with Kaneki, also the Innocents were never given a way to secretly communicate like the traitors or detectives. The point of this is to let the traitors know what the innocents are acting so that they can adapt their strategy to fit the status of the game given by the information.

Yes, it seems silly to call something so small ghosting and lump it in with full-on malicious ghosting, but it's kinda a compromise for a few reasons.

You got a player using PMs to KOS a T
> Guaranteed report, T thinks they've just been RDMed out the blue
> Traitor feels hard done by cause they were unable to act on being KOSed
> Mod's gotta ask for proof of the pm
> Players are being asked to take the time to upload a screenshot
> if they are unable/unwilling to provide proof then it's WvW - mod's stuck and Traitor's pissed
= Easy to abuse and no one's really happy either way

Anything that could be said in pms could be said discretely in public chat anyway. "Follow me for the HS" as opposed to pming location etc

And from a gameplay perspective, it's a balancing act of a game about deception and giving all players a feeling of fairness and fun. Allowing things like KOSes in pms comes with players feeling unfairly hunted for KOSes they never knew about and never had an opportunity to react or too or even lie/talk their way out of, and along with the above situations the balance weighs in favour of the easiest and most enjoyable path being that of not allowing pms containing round related info.

People talk about private stuff in private messages, it'd be useful for catching ghosters but you've got privacy concerns and anyone doing it maliciously is in a discord vc anyway
