ok story time, growing up, video games were a scarcity for me and my older brothers. Pc gaming was even scarcer, and I got to play minecraft. That’s it. And hardly at all for that matter. so I was a minecraft nerd for videogames. well before we were allowed to do minecraft, we played all the good old snes and 64 games, but also a *ton* of pokemon (too many 12 hour road trips). my favorite pokemon was sableye. So one of my username ideas when I got a laptop and got steam was a spinoff of my second minecraft username, sableyes_stone. It became sableyes_sapphire (Sableye’s Sapphire). well that name sucks, ngl. I didn’t want to be called Sableye’s, Sableye, or Sapphire. Or the whole thing. I soon realized this and changed it to be Sable. And that’s that. I didn’t find out that Sable was a french word until sometime two years ago (I remember when it happened, it was funny). I picked the username four years ago. So yeah. Rekt. I don’t even speak french.
