Why you should be unbanned:

scuff water banned me from west, no reason was given so i had to go out and find one and @Irish informed me this was down to the accusation of posting a porn link.

The link in question was URL REMOVED

So i am appealing this based on a few reasons.

1: The ban was 14 days not 7. No warning was given and i scuff water didn't tell me that is a no no.

2: The rules don't actually forbid link posting. The following is the rules

6. PORN/GORE/DISTURBING CONTENT
1. Arousing images/videos depicting sexual activity, general nudity, sex toys/objects, or sexual substances.
2. Blood, cut body parts, people/creatures being injured, bodies/corpses, and similar things.
3. Content that is graphic, disgusting, or unsettling.

Content is defined as the parts contained within a medium. In this case the medium was serious TTT servers. The content was the link it self, not what followed the link. In this case the rules needs to be adjusted to list "links that may lead to disturbing content"

As the rules are meant to be interpreted literally, then i can not be banned for something that is not listed as a rule.

3: The link i posted is not a porn link it is a image board. There is no proof that image board contained porn at the time of posting the link. I was not aware of any porn that was on that website at the time of posting and i doubt the admin was (and if it was id like proof of that). As far as am concerned /b/ is mainly for Naruto based content. Additionally if one was to post porn on this forum and someone posted a link it not knowing there was porn threw the link then would they get banned?


Due to the nature of the internet it self, if you browse dodgy news websites, Facebook or even mainstream websites you will encounter porn eventually. If i had posted a link to a legal streaming website and porn was in the adverts then wouldn't that constitute the same as posting the 4chan link?



Perhaps Scuffed water should of handled this with a bit more professionalism? (this screenshot was taken from when i killed him in game for killing someone else)​

hey there so I’m going to go ahead and go through and answer your concerns for your ban as well as give a verdict at the end of the post.

Your ban is 14 days because that is what our punishment is for the first offense of porn related content found in the MOTD here. I have no idea where you are getting 7 days from as it is not mentioned at all and has never been a part of how we punish porn related content.

Your right, we do not forbid link posting. However, when you post a link it must follow the rules of the server just as when you use a spray. When you posted the link, I checked it and the first thing that showed up was pornography. What followed were even more images of porn related content, which is why you were banned.

To argue that you are not responsible for what follows the link is ridiculous. You posted the link in the first place, meaning the only reason the content was brought up/accessible from the server was because you had put it there. Bottom line is, you are responsible for what shows up when you post a link publicly on the server. The link that you had posted contained porn content so you were banned.

This screenshot is completely unrelated to the situation at hand so I’m not sure what it is supposed to stand for.

I am going to be denying this appeal. The link you posted resulted in porn being displayed so you were banned. You are free to play on the rest of our servers while you serve it.
