using your mod powers to lie as a traitor; too far?

Is it allowed to threaten slays as a traitor mod? Example, a mod is called out as a traitor. the person who called out the mod is found dead and innocent. the next logical step would be to keep the kos on the mod. Now, if the mod said "no that was a false kos, im going to slay him next round" to protect himself, is that allowed? its pretty believable, almost meta-gaming. perhaps ghosting?

 

In my eyes that is mod abuse and if this has happened i recommend you report him

 

I see mods slay ingame and sometimes affect the situation

Situation 1 : Traitor damages MOD. Traitor gets killed then Traitor get slain (Makes me think that the MOD was a T)

 

If the mod didn't do anything and the kos was called on him for no reason, then that is legitimate grounds for a slay. Who was the mod that was present during the time?

 

1.) Yes, this happened. Nope Trash said "I'm gonna have to slay him for false kos"
2.) I'm the one that brought it to the attention of the collective whole, but I was mostly addressing Nope Trash himself to get him a bit of a realization that he was crossing the line, I wasn't trying to get him reported. There's no real reason to bring this here, he apologized and said he didn't mean to say it like that, and it likely was just a slip of the tongue, but it was already addressed in a verbal "Hey, check what your saying bro" Sort of thing. Nope Trash is aware that this is not supposed to happen, and there's no reason to escalate this issue.

 

this isnt a report, wolf. im trying to clarify so it doesn't come up again, and so i can have proof of if it's allowed or not if this situation happens again. If this was a report, it would be in the report section. This is in the general discussion, so we can discuss it and understand the situation better. I don't think this has come up before so i hope any mods that do or have done this will read this and learn from it

 

Seeing as I was the one who 'false kos'd' Nope Trash, this doesn't need to be escalated further. Nope Trash apologized and realized his mistake.

 

Okay I just wanna add my two cents, while yes, if they actually do slay, and actually do use this as manipulation, I agree with all of you.

But the phrase "Okay, KOS me, you can take the slay, I am innocent" is VERY common in TTT. If that is all the mod says, why is this topic even relevant? The original post is about a slay next round for a false KOS, that is something that has to be done by any mod. Now unless the mod is just being a dick, there are two things to look at.

1. Submitting a report in-game to at least explain why the KOS was called in the first place.

2. Talking to the mod post-game.

Also, it was never established here if the mod in question was ACTUALLY a traitor in this instance. The fact that people threaten slays TO EACH OTHER on a game by game basis based on false KOS, why is a mod any different? That is just simply gameplay. If someone is going to call you out and you believe they have no reason, you say "you can take the slay" almost IMMEDIATELY.

 

You're missing a point, the mod said he was in fact going to slay the person who called a kos on him. That's revealing information not available, could be considered ghosting. This has been solved though and I'm requesting to lock this thread.
