I just bought Fallout 3 on steam and its not running. I can open the launcher and as soon as i hit play it does nothing. anyone know anything?
well on the store page for fallout 3 it says its not optimized for windows 7 and up so im assuming youd have to run it in like windows xp compatibility
For me it works, I run off a Window 10. If I remember correctly, it has something to do with the FPS cap set on the game. Just look it up and you'll find 10x thousand parts of it, or try Nexus Mod Community. Fallout 3 is one of my all-time favorite games. Though you'll experience a very poorly optimized game with weird V-sync and Frame rates, just get past those with mods. Then you'll play one good game, best Fallout to date imo, and don't forget to blast Enclave radio.
Refund your copy on steam if you have under two hours and purchase on GoG which has the game fixed for modern systems

The steam version is shit. I got it to work after doing a number of fixes. I don't recall exactly which fix worked in the end, but even after the fix I still get random fucking crashes. God bless Bethesda and their shitty fucking games.
