Spoiler: Credit to Woet for the suggestion I think it's overdue that we balance buying T rounds. It gets completely unfair once more than one person buys it, and it's not fun for either side. For Ts, the rounds end too quickly to make it worth 300 points, and innos don't stand much of a chance. I figure just remove a T for every T round that was bought. Not sure how this would work or if it's possible, but that's the suggestion. For example if there are 24 players on the server, there should be 6 Traitors. If someone buys T, there would still be 6 Traitors. If 7 people buy T, there would be 7 Traitors, because you are still guaranteed a T round
but then your chances of getting traitor normally are decreased even more. -1, maybe if they implemented this while reserving a certain amount of slots maybe like 50-75% for natural traitors then it would be more balanced
It wouldn't be a major decrease in chance. Even if it was, I'd accept that for it being a fair round.
-1. Your suggestion is saying "someone should be able to pay to take my spot as traitor" It's still possible to win as inno even if there are extra traitors. And if not then rounds end faster, that's not a bad thing if a lot of people bought traitor? It's once per map already. It's fine as is imo.
You are not garunteed a round as traitor. If you dont get T one round, why's it matter if you don't get T again? And yes, it is possible to win as inno if several people buy T, but not very likely. And when I buy T round, I would prefer they didn't last less than a minute. Makes me feel like I'm wasting my points.
When Traitors and Innocents are at an even number, the traitors have to be REALLY bad to lose.. I mean it's not like traitors have the element of surprise, a gadget that has the potential to heal, low TTK weapons such as the MP7, body armor, and so on..
I’ve noticed sometimes when I purchase detective, I get chosen as traitor even though I never bought traitor, which could be one of the resulting factors leading to more people getting traitor. Maybe make it so if someone buys detective, they are always guaranteed that role so there won’t be one or two extra traitors thrown into the round. Or just cap the amount of people who can buy t to 1-2 like cowcakes said above.
I would much rather be T less, than have 3 people buy traitor when I finally get traitor and end up making it go by in 30 seconds. +1 BUT: It should still tell you how many people bought so you can call them nerds for buying since it's usually the same people that buy over and over.
If you're gonna make a good suggestion like this you need to expand. It's already somewhat balanced but I agree that it needs more tweaking. Like there should be a limit on how many people can buy T in a certain round.
But the whole purpose of buying T is to guarantee getting it. Now people who want to buy T may not get it now because of this limit you suggest
there's already a limit to how many people can buy T in a round yaknow. You shouldn't be allowed to basically replace all the people being selected, there should still be a slot or two available for people that HAVEN'T bought it
