WARNING! Zombie Whore has placed a Death Station!

Andrew to You: But you threw it near a T-buddy and it blew up almost right away
Temar added 1 autoslays to You with the reason : 'Always warn for deathstation if near T and inno (chance of imediate trigger)'

According to the rules you don't have to warn when placing down a Deathstation. However, if you place a Deathstation near a couple of T-buddies and innocents, then you have to warn because there is a chance of it being triggered as soon as you place it down.

as you see part 4 saying you don't need to warn unless there is chance of immediate trigger, in this case there was multiple innos and your T buddy, and it was indeed activated shortly after you dropped it killing you T buddy

also note part 5 says good idea to give said warning 5 seconds before doing said action, your reason of it warns for you, is at point of throwing, added time to read and react there is another few seconds on top since thrown
we have never allowed built in warning to count as they iver too late or arn't necessarily meaning your going to act (like jihad)

  6. If it was activated right away I would've died in that blast no? and the guy who called me out for it which was Zaneloeher was also still alive. So it wasn't something that happened instantly right after I dropped it. There was enough time for me to get away and at the time i dropped the death station i didnt see any T buddies around. So he must've Not been paying attention and ran towards it. The physical warning for a C4, Deathstation, or tripwire are not needed because once dropped or placed its out of your control and whoever trips it is not the owners fault. If you decide to play around the area then you suffer the consequences.

Whereas a Jihad or Frag Grenade is totally in your control to decide when it will go off.

The rule does not state that you must warn if you feel there is a chance of the death station detonating, but only if you anticipate it going off right away. Zombie did not anticipate it going off, and thus did not have to warn for his death station. That being said, you should have warned your T buddies that you were throwing it, and then given them time to leave the room as you clearly were using the death station offensively (you must have expected someone to press it if you threw it into that room).

This report is invalid against Andrew. As a trial moderator he has no power to slay, and thus this report cannot be found valid on the grounds of abuse. If you have evidence that Andrew mishandled his duties as trial moderator, post them, otherwise this report is against Temar, and @Teroxa can finish that up when he has the time.

    Heya.

What #4 is referring to is the tactic to throw down a death station and immediately trigger it yourself to serve the same purpose as a jihad.
It's always good to give your teammates a fair warning beforehand, but just the possibility of someone else triggering the death station would - under the current ruling - not necessarily require a warning.
The chance of being triggered immediately =/= throwing it down with the intent to trigger it immediately

I would like to see the logs for the incident and/or a deathscene though, if possible to better understand how exactly the situation occurred.
If either @Temar or @AndrewB have this saved, that would be very helpful.

Apart from that, @Pacifist is right.
Since Trial moderators are not considered full staff and have no actual powers, in most cases the staff training them at the time is responsible for the actions taken by the trial. Therefor I consider this to be mainly a report on Temar.

I am going to go ahead and close this up. At the time the rules were very ambiguous and open to be interpreted to mean what happened in this report. That being said, the rules have been slightly altered to cover this sort of thing, and so going forward this shouldn't be an issue. I see no reason to pursue further action.
