So say there is 2 people involved in the incident. (p1 and p2) p1: T baits by shooting at or around someone. p2: responds by shooting but not killing p1 p1: shoots and kills p2 both of them report this incident who gets punished? Edit: Pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'm curious.
Technically no one. They both committed traitorous acts. P1 T baited and P2 damaged P1. It could be proven that player one had malicious intent he could be punished for the T baiting, but that is up to an admin to decide.
p2 responds by damaging p1 but not killing him. So p1 responds to this by self defense rules by killing p2 for damaging him but p1 initiated the encounter. So wouldn't p1 get punished for instigating the event?
That would be negative. P1 was utilizing the T-bait mechanic correctly. However, if P1 uses that tactic chronically, then it could be seen as toxic gameplay if there is no real purpose behind the bait.
T Baiting is generally allowed, but should be used correctly, if used excessively, against Detective etc it could lead to admin+ taking action for toxic gameplay but in general its fine and allowed Personally I only do it on someone if I suspect them to be a traitor, and i will follow through with a kill when i do
got it. So overall its up to the staff member handling the reports to decide if the player is exhibiting toxic behavior or not, and punish/don't the player accordingly. Thanks for the confirmation -syn
